Abstract
Businesses should be aware the impact of fostering an environment without work-life initiatives. The cost of this type of environment exceeds the benefit but not entirely in a financial aspect. This research portrays a picture of environment without work-life initiatives, as well as, the advantages with the initiatives. It gives an in-depth explanation of the various forms of work-life initiatives that can be offered to employees. The research concludes that while some work-life initiatives cost employers, there isn’t any valid financial profit, but the benefits have been shown in the employees working environment and behavior. Employees work at a higher productive rate when they have job satisfaction, in which work-life initiatives are identified as a leading contender in job satisfaction.

Introduction The business world has transformed over the years. It has become a diverse environment with women and men from all ethnic backgrounds. With a diverse background derives various stressors that affect the productivity of employees. In today’s economy, having one household income is becoming an event of the past. People are struggling to balance their home and work life.
Businesses have been reorganizing their programs to combat some of the issues that are brought by having a diverse community. Some businesses have developed work-life initiatives to educate and aid employees in discovering the right balance for them. The question is, are work-life initiatives truly productive? To determine if they are truly productive, we have to evaluate whether they are necessary. What was the world like without them? It is important to understand how a business is widely affected by the lack of work-life initiative and programs to offer to its employees.

Through the use of extensive employment policy measures, a tight fiscal policy and a wage policy of solidarity, the Rehn-Meidner model represents a unique third way between Keynesianism and monetarism. This essay analyses the application and performance of the Rehn-Meidner model in Sweden. Although never consistently applied, it is possible to distinguish a golden age for the model from the late 1950s to the early 1970s.
