Working hard and be consistent is my belief. I came to the United States in 2003 to acquire my college education. It has been a long journey since I arrived to this country. It is on my recollection the day I left Ecuador, my family and my friends looking for new challenge that I really want to succeed. At the beginning of this journey everything looks so difficult and there were a lot of barriers on the road. I recognized it that if I want to succeed in this country I need to learn how to speak and write in English to be able to effectively communicate with others in this country. Moreover, I need to improve my listening skills to have a better understanding of the English speakers.
In my college Education I was able to complete my 2-year college degree and I got my BA in Marketing by following my belief. Working hard and be consistent took me to the next level in college Education.
In my professional career I always follow the identical belief. I remembered my first interview with my first boss. He asked me about my strengths and weaknesses in the interview. I remembered I was so nervous because it was my first job interview in this country. Moreover, I really need to get this job to start getting job experience for the near future. I answered that my strengths are that I work really hard and I am extremely consistent in any task that I am in charge. It was a really good interview and I left thinking that I will get this job. In effect, I got this position because I gained my boss trust that day. First day at my new job I need to start showing people that what I said on the interview was correct. I started working hard every day and I started be consistent especially with any recommendation my boss shared to me. It took me couple years until finally I got promoted to a better position in this company. In this new position, I experienced a lot of problems because it was really difficult at the beginning. Moreover, many coworkers left the position because it was difficult to achieve good results in this new role in the company. It was a huge challenge for me all over again. I did a great job in this position applying my beliefs. Working hard every single day and be consistent in any task you are in charge.
In conclusion, it is important to understand that no matter what is the task you are assign working hard and be consistent will help you to achieve the results you are looking in your life and career.

College

...“Some people get an education without going to college. The rest get it after they get out.” (Twain 1) Is Mark Twain right, could college be a complete waste of time and money? Caroline Bird would agree with Twain on his implied view of college being a utter waste. Bird questions the real motive behind receiving a college education and depicts her view onto the minds of many college students in todays world. Mike Rose in his article about “Blue-Collar Brilliance” as well as Brent Staples in his writing about “Why Colleges Shower Their Students with A’s” make several valid, relative points that correlate with Bird’s belief on college being a complete waste of both time and money. Bird’s argument can be valid under the circumstance that one becomes unusually successful in a blue collar career, a student is simply given grades instead of earned and many other situations that go outside the traditional aspects of society and education. I, however, strongly disagree with Bird’s belief that college is a waste of time and money because despite her assertion that it is an expensive, time consuming commitment and the initial intention may be influenced by parents or societal pressures, the student will eventually gain a desire to learn and pursue a career if college is the right path for them. Even though I may not agree, Bird supports her argument very well with both statistics and convincing input. By stating that “no more than 25 percent of students are turned on by ...

Method of Evangelism

...despite our sinful nature. We then use Romans 10:9, 13 to tell the unbeliever how s/he can become a child of Christ. Then we ask him/her if they would like to make that choice now, regardless of whether they asked Christ into their lives or not.   The next passages are Romans 5:1; 8:1; 8:38-39.   In these next passages of scripture we discuss exactly what the eternal implications of a choice to live for Christ mean.   The advantage of the Romans road is that it is pretty cut and dry evangelism. If you have someone who is willing to sit and listen to what you have to say or even read with you, it would be awesome.   This method in my opinion works well with people who have already been prepared.   The disadvantage to this method is that it’s hard to just walk up to someone and start down the Romans road.   You need someone who’s willing to have that conversation.   If you wanted to talk to someone who was not very receptive to hearing about Jesus, you wouldn’t get past Romans 3:23 before they walked away.   Although I like this method I feel that it is geared more toward a more religion-friendly listener. PART TWO ¬– Evangelistic Method #2 My second evangelistic method I chose to write about is Friendship Evangelism.   McGee (2000) states this...
