Abstract
A worldview is the way you look at the world, your perception of how the world works, why things happen the way they do and what is your purpose in the world. A worldview is also referred to as a comprehensive conception of the world from a specific standpoint. A “Christian worldview,” is a comprehensive conception of the world from a Christian standpoint. A worldview is there even if people feel they have one or not. A worldview is the crucial starting point for understanding the world of ideas and cultural expressions, as well as responding to these in a particularly Christian way. Individuals acquire a worldview because of their beliefs of how they see the world and why it works the way it does. Every person has a worldview whether they realize it or not.

Christian Worldview
A worldview is the way you look at the world, your perception of how the world works, why things happen the way they do and what is your purpose in the world. A person’s worldview is their basis for making daily decisions and is extremely important. A worldview can range from seeing the glass half empty to seeing the glass half full. Every person has a worldview even though they may not realize it. Humans live their lives by worldviews. Deciding on what to wear to work or how to wear your hair is a basis of a worldview. Society puts standards out there that most people live by or decide not to live by. People use worldviews to interpret and form opinions about their humanity, their purpose in life, their duties in the world, their responsibilities to their family and social issues. A worldview affects a person’s area of life even if they don’t realize it. A worldview sets the standards for what type of car you should drive or how you should wear your hair or what should you eat for lunch today.
With a Christian worldview, man must follow the Bible and the rules set forth by God. A Christian worldview leads us to believe in morals, miracles, human dignity and the possibility of life after death. A secular worldview shows us that you have to do what you have to do to get by; that may mean breaking the rules and not following the laws or being unethical. Truth be told, they are both here and now but you cannot do both. You either live in the world as a Christian or live in the world as a non-Christian.

With society today, men and women in the workforce must decide to live in the world as a non-Christian or live in the world as a true Christian and follow the rules of the Bible as set forth by God. Rules and regulations must be followed but you can follow them and use good ethical, Christian judgment in your decisions in the workplace.
An executive that is a true Christian, following God’s will and rules, can impact his job when setting organizational policy in a good, ethical, practical way. When setting rules, you have to be non-bias. You cannot set up rules, regulations or policies that make a greater impact, positively, for a certain individual or individuals in your workplace. For example, here at my office at Enterprise Car Rental, my supervisor will bend the rules for certain of my co-workers and let them take off work when they want to. The rule states that you have to request time off four days in advance.
Not all employees at the office are Christians but I feel if God is good and all he says is good in the Bible and if you follow what he says for you to do, then no bad can happen in whatever you choose to do. For example, the Golden Rule, to do unto others as you would have them do unto you; if you do good to other employees, then good will be returned to you. If you set rules that all employees must follow and they all follow them, then there will be a good, positive outcome in the workplace.
It is important to remember that a worldview affects every area of life and as we observe the world around us, we can see that not all is good in the world.

...Worldview Paper Gregory Ryan Liberty University Author Note Gregory Ryan, Psychology Department, Liberty University Worldview Paper Part I 1. What is a worldview? Define what the term “worldview” means. Use descriptive phrases to support your definition. A worldview is the foundation upon which we view our own reality in terms everything around us. In common terms this refers to personal beliefs, ideologies, and the driving force behind each of our daily decisions. In terms of Christianity this is a direct link to our understanding of God and how belief effects the world around us. Our worldview is the expression of our being at it’s very core. (Word Count: 70) Part II 1. The Question of Origin – (How did life begin? How did mankind come into existence?) Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:27 (New International Version) clearly sum up our origins. God is our true creator who turned darkness into light with a single word. He created the earth and the heaven before giving us life based on his own image. He is the architect...

...WORLD VIEW PAPER Chazia Brown-Sanou Liberty University Online WORLD VIEW PAPER What is a worldview? A worldview is a particular viewpoint of life or origin of the world, or how you interpret reality and what you believe to be true. It is different for everyone since no two people have the exact same life experiences. As you grow and become more aware of the person you are your worldview may change. Your worldview makes you who you are, what you believe, and how you handle certain situations. Your worldview effects every aspect of your life, from the types of relationships you have to how you interact with the world around you. For example, a child may believe the world revolves around him, an irreligious humanist believes that the physical world is all that exists and a Hinduist may believe that the only way he can be enlightened is through self-purification. Everyone has some type of worldview, whether they know it or not. Your worldview will dictate every action, decision, and emotion you make throughout your entire life. (162words) How did life begin? To answer this question would again depend on your personal worldview. A religious person would believe that we were made in our Father’s image on the 6th day. A disbelieving person would believe that we evolved from lesser organisms. Referring to my worldview and to (Genesis 1:1–2:3), I believe that God created the universe and everything that exist. He is all there is and all the ever will be. He made us in his own...

...The Author The Professor APOL 104 The Date Determining a Personal Worldview Part I What is a worldview? One’s worldview is the lens through which you envision your existence. It is conceived, developed and refined over a lifetime of experiences. Personal beliefs, biases, preconceptions, morals and social behavior, among other aspects, are influenced by previous events in your lifetime. A complete biblical worldview is supported by five separate criteria as seen in Part II. Part I word count: 56 Part II Foundational Questions of a Biblical Worldview 1. The Question of Origin: A biblical worldview presupposes, and is plainly stated in Genesis 1:1 (New American Standard Bible) that a one true God exists and that He created everything. Once that assumption is made, it logically follows that we all are of God and belong to God. Psalm 100:3 supports this claim. The question of origin is truly the basis of the Christian faith. 2. The Question of Identity: In Genesis 1:26, God created man and woman in his image and granted humans power over members of the animal world. If man weren’t valued above animals, why would He have sent his only Son to the world as a human? There is, however, value to all things He has created. Matthew 6:26 acknowledges the value of, and love for, animals. 3. The Question of Meaning/Purpose: For ages, man has questioned his reason for existing. We exist to glorify God, as stated in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. A relationship...

...Steven Marshall Psychology 101 23 Feb 2016 How To Study Report When I study for a test I read through the material and write down key points and ideas and then study that material and study some more. “I make it a practice to “overlearn” material by repeating it two or three times beyond the point necessary for minimal proficiency” (Nevid, 2015). I use to get distracted very easily but now I have realized that I have to pay attention to the material and close out or eliminate distractions before I start. I have to go to a quiet place where there are no distractions. By doing this it has helped me to significantly improve on my test scores. The night before a test I skim over my notes and get a good night’s sleep. As stated by Nevid “Sleep appears to play an important role in the process by which the brain consolidates or solidifies newly formed memories of daily experiences into more lasting memories” (Nevid, 2015). I also have learned that I am no good at cramming for a test. I like to space my learning out and give myself a break. Flash cards are good for studying things like definitions and multiplication tables because you can write the problem on one side and the answer on the other side. It is also a great tool because you can use it to study by yourself and it can help you cram for a test if you have not taken the time to study. A disadvantage of using flashcards and rote repetition is they are not reliable for more advanced subjects. They do not allow the student...

...Crystal McClure Professor Duane Carmody Contemporary Worldviews APOL 104 8/2/2016 What is Worldview? Worldview seems to have different wording of the definition. For instance, the American Scientific Affiliation website, defines worldview as “a theory of the world, used for the living in the world.” (“What Is a Worldview?) On Focus On the Family website they define worldview as a framework from which we view reality and make sense of life and the world. (Tackett) According to Finding Your Worldview: Thinking Christianly about the World, they define worldview as, “the unifying perspective from which we organize our thinking about life, death, art, science, faith learning, work, money, values and morals. A worldview is our underlying philosophy of life.” (Gutierrez) What I take from both of those sources is the worldview is what your philosophy on life is. How you look at life, what defines your life and what you believe in. How would you deal with things on a daily basis? Worldview is dealing with making decisions in life. The Question of Origin can be answered in different ways. Naturalism is when the matter has always existed and with given enough time and chance, the end result is what is seen around today. Basically naturalists believe there is no existence of supernatural. Pantheism refers to viewing God and the universe as one. Theism is stating that everything existing, including human is because of God. Genesis 1:1 talks about God creating the heavens and the earth...

...Part I: What is a worldview? Worldview is the way a person sees the world around them. It is what we believe about the world and how it affects our actions and decisions. It is how we deal with life and death, morals and values, money, faith, science, work ethic, and anything else that would fall into a person’s perspective about life. Part II: The Question of Origin – (How did life begin? How did mankind come into existence?) Origin is the start or the beginning. It is as simple as Genesis 1:1—the beginning of the Bible and God’s creation. Genesis 1:26-27, clearly tells us how we got here—that God created men and women in His image. I did not evolve. Colossians 1:16-17 supports that God created everything including all things seen and unseen. The Question of Identity – (What does it mean to be human? Are humans more important than animals?) In Psalms 8:5 it tells us, “For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour”. At the same time we were created higher than the animals. And God said,” Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”, as it states in Genesis 1:26. The Question of Meaning/Purpose – (Why does mankind exist? Why do I exist?) As a Christian we believe the purpose of our existence is to know God. Christianity interprets...

Worldview Religion Paper

...APOL 104 June 2, 2014 Worldview Assignment Every human being has a worldview. They may not know exactly what that is but every person has an idea of how they think about things and what they believe in. Our worldview makes up the way we think, feel, and act upon certain issues in life. The environment in which we are raised has a lot to do with our worldview. Most people gain their way of thinking through the ways their parents think about issues in life. For example, parents can have a certain political party they align with and growing up the child can feel like they lean the same way but after learning and understanding the issues on both sides they can decide to change their minds on which party they feel best suits them. The media and the people that surround them also can have a major effect on a person’s worldview. Music, television, and internet paly important factors in the learning and growing process of children. They can use their popularity to make a person feel a certain way which can make them associate themselves with a crowd or idea. The friends and other people they are in contact with can also affect a person’s worldview. People constantly share ideas and communicate them to each other which can influence the way they think. Hopefully, the media and people they are interacting with have a good message to share so that the person can have a worldview that is inspiring and good in nature. The origin of the universe and of man has long been a question...

However, my perspective on theistic worldview is that humans are able to understand the world around them. As humans we have a strong interest in things, we always want to define life and try to answer many different questions like who are we and what is going on in life? ...Christian Worldview Paper 1 April 6, 2013 Each one of us wants to be a self-sufficient self-starter in life. We realize that to avoid undue dependence on others we must have a platform of absolute truth, something unshakeable that provides a foundation when all things whirl and conspire about us. In our university careers, and later on in our professions, we find so many people who would counsel us to take this path or another path; and often that counsel is at variance with teachings we have learned in the Church. Theories of science are proposed that seem at variance with gospel principles. How, then, can we find for sure that which is true? I have found in my life two ways to find truth— both useful, provided we follow the path and the laws upon which they are predicated. First let us call the scientific method. That involves a group of facts and statistics, combined and analyzed, from which is distilled a theory or a postulate or what might be called a principle. Often the reverse is true: we advance a principle, then perform experiments to establish its validity. The scientific method is a sound and most valuable way of arriving at truth. There are two limitations, however, with that method. First: We never can be sure we have absolute truth, though we often draw nearer and nearer to it. Secondly: Sometimes, no matter how earnestly and sincerely we apply that principle, we come up with the wrong answer. The scientific method is a way of seeking...

...There exists in all societies, whether pre-industrial or industrial, a cognitive orientation; a worldview. Whether the worldview is real or perceived, this worldview governs various aspects of a community’s social life. This worldview, economically, determines one’s attitude towards the world’s natural resources and the accessibility or availability of those resources. A person or group can perceive their resources as unlimited. This perception is widespread in most industrialized societies. Economically, urban industrialized societies perceive their resources as being in ample supply, easily accessible, and anyone and everyone can have a “piece of the pie”. However, many pre-industrialized societies world view is different. The latter...
