“Every child has a different learning style and pace. Each child is unique, not only capable of learning, but also capable of succeeding.” This quote, spoken by Robert John Meehan, presents the idea that every individual learns differently, and expanding on this idea, even different age groups learn variously. Statistics show that teenagers are more likely to attend some sort of worship service over adults (“What”). Our generation is slowly getting back into church and the youth is finding their way back. Every minister spends a great deal of time crafting lessons to reach out and impact individuals with the hope of advancing the kingdom of God. Keeping the audience in mind, pastors compose Bible teachings for every age to perceive. With an …show more content…
Writing a Bible series takes a great deal of time and dedication. According to Adam Everett, a youth minister from Christ’s Church of Oronogo, states “It takes a whole team and I, four to five months to write and create a four week series.” Each lesson is strategically planned out and prepared; ministers spend time carefully crafting lectures to reach out to their groups. Writing the aim, arranging the lesson outline, writing the conclusion, writing the introduction, and choosing the method are the six steps when an individual is developing a series and particular lesson (Towns). When designing a Bible series, an individual must determine the topic he or she wants to discuss and the goal set in mind for the students. Writing the direct moral he or she wants to teach each individual is the first step in writing a Bible series. The core to every lesson is the one driving statement that will impact the students. As Adam Everett told me in a personal interview, “Boil down scripture into a single thought and theme and everything after must be built upon the foundation.” Once the theme and moral is decided, the individual must research scripture to fit the topic. Everything said in the lesson needs to be Biblical truth. The speaker wants to …show more content…
As Ben Read said in his article Three Tips for Better Preaching in Youth Ministry, “Preach with a burden.” To put it in other words, the pastor composes sermons that lay heavy on his or her heart or on events that they struggle with. My faculty advisor, Mike Smith, told me he writes lessons that he can make personal connections with so that he can better teach it. He feels as though he can create a more prominent lesson that kids can relate to. When a speaker has passion for what he is preaching, it can be better expressed and taught because they have forceful excitement about the

Workshop on Proposal Development

...This workshop is a follow-up of the workshop in which you developed your proposal. Now you have the major task ahead of fully analysing the data you brought with you from the field and writing your research report. The report should contain feasible and useful recommendations, based on the findings of your study concerning how to solve the problem investigated. As in the first workshop there will be presentations, group work sessions and a few plenaries. In this workshop, however, group work will take up most of the time. The presentations will be concentrated in the first week, which will be devoted to data analysis. The second week will be fully reserved for report writing, with only two presentations to guide you. Toward the end of that week an important plenary is planned in which each group will present a summary of its main findings and recommendations. A selected group of policy-makers and health managers who requested the study or have a direct interest in the topic and some interested researchers will be invited to comment on your presentation during that plenary. The modules for this workshop cover several major tasks, which are schematically presented in the diagram on the next page of this module. This diagram is presented again at the beginning of each subsequent module, to indicate which task is the focus of the presentation. We will now briefly introduce each of these tasks. Although we trust that all groups have put great effort in the processing...

Reflective Essay on Business Start-Up

...the business plan for this module has definitely equipped me with the some of the skills necessary for entrepreneurship. After taking this module, I would say that I am now looking at businesses differently and I am more appreciative of the processes behind managerial decision-making - specifically the seemingly innocuous details that make all the difference for an organisation. For example, hitherto I did not really appreciate the effect music has on consumers/ and or employees. I have since learnt that many studies point to background music being used in retail stores to: “improve store image, make employees happier, reduce employee turnover, and stimulate consumer purchasing” (Milliman, 1982, p.86). Dr Mike Lee describes the entrance of supermarkets as a landing strip reiterates the importance of making it appealing to attract customers (Hubbard, 2016). Another thing I have observed is that supermarkets usually put their most profitable goods at eye-level; this is where customers are most likely to see them. For example, in the stationary section of my local Tesco, you would see the higher priced materials at eye level and the cheaper goods are usually located on the higher or lower level shelves. Whilst writing up this business plan, I have used my knowledge and tools from other modules as well as the tools provided in this module. For example, I used the knowledge and experience from my strategic management module to conduct an industry analysis for the business plan. Completing...
