Keep in mind that make-ups ARE NOT DECIDED YET and, IN THE CASE there will be, you WON’T EARN THE TOTAL OF THE POINTS (10) DESPITE YOU FULFILL THE CRITERIA MENTIONED ABOVE. Accordingly, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU TO ASSIST TO THE MEETINGS IN YOUR REGULAR DAY AND TIME AND FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES.

The basic structure of the third meeting will be as follows:

1) Identifying professions

2) Identifying places and activities to do on those places (and talk about them)

3) Identifying food and different types of food (and talk about it)

In this meeting vocabulary command will be crucial to perform well during it. Your grade for this meeting will depend heavily on how well prepared you are in regard to the vocabulary exposed throughout the chapters covered so far (for places there will be an emphasis on Chapters 1 and 3). I will need for you to search vocabulary related to deserts (postres in Spanish) and get familiar with that vocabulary too.

I want to give you the opportunity to be creative using the textbook’s vocabulary and, accordingly, I am not giving tight descriptions for the activities.

Warm-up (trivia game): I will show you some pictures and I will ask the name in Spanish for that profession. I will also address questions related to places where that profession can be practiced. For this activity you don’t need a special vocabulary prepared since is just a warm up game.

Activity 1, step 1: In this activity we will focus on the places using the vocabulary developed throughout Chapter 1 and Chapter 3. I will show you some images of places from that vocabulary and I will ask you what could be done in those places and what do YOU normally do on those places.

Step 2: We will review the activities that can be done in the places exposed from preliminary chapter to chapter 3. For this part of activity 1 becoming very familiar with the conjugations of the verbs will be crucial.

Activity 2: We will talk a little bit about restaurants and food. I want to know YOUR favorite restaurant and what dishes and beverages those restaurants offer (I will ask for detailed information about those places. The menu offered in that restaurant will be a sure question that I will ask you).

Activity 3: We will practice the vocabulary for different food. I will ask you to identify the item(s) in the pictures below and we will share about our favorite food. We also address our typical menu for the week and during weekends.
