My purpose of writing this memo is that which patients will receive the organ transplant first. There are three patients that is in need of an organ transplant. The first patients is a 55 year old family man, mid- level manager. I think if we give this patient the transplant, his chances of living will be greater after the procedure. He can live at least 10 to 13 years and take care of his family and may be continue to give them a good life.
The second patients is a 12 year old female who is battle with lifelong health issues. When this patients receive the transplant, her chances of living into her 30s are less.
The last patient is a 38 year old ex-drug abuser, and now he want to turn his life around and find something better to do with his life and help the society. He has provided many help to his community by helping our youth who have trouble with their academic and behavior issues.
Because of that, the community is very proud of him for providing help for the youth in his community. Which only few ex-drug abuser can do to help the society. Due to his intelligence and his ability to help his community, as a professional Oncologist, I have decided that the 38 year old ex-drug abuser should receive the organ transplant.
This decision was taking because when you look at these three patients Mr. Ozzy is the one who have decide to turn his life around and trying to help our society. I know if we give him a second chance in life he can be more useful to our society.
I am taking a utilitarian view on my decision making on who should receive the organ transplant. The reason I decided that this patient should receive this transplant was that I believe he can do many useful things with his life and also become a resource to our youth and the community.
I know Mr. Ozzy is actually making the right decision in his life. “The rightness or wrongness of actions is determined by the goodness or badness.” In addition, Mr. Ozzy has a better chance of living a longer life 15 or more years after he receive the transplant only if he stay away from drugs and alcohol and continues to live a healthy life without contaminating his life.
Mr. Ozzy will continue to help his community and the youth as their counselor and mentor after we give him the organ transplant.
Everything about Mr. Ozzy shows that he can be more helpful to the society and train the youth well. Even though his past is not all that great. He has recovered and put his life back on track.
If we are able to help him I know he can also be a mentor to his follow ex-drug abuser who find themselves as a homeless and do not have any better life or things for themselves. I know through Mr. Ozzy, they too can end up been a useful to their society and help some people in the community.
Because there are some drug abusers out there who just need a mentor to follow so that their life too can change. As Mr. Ozzy is an ex-drug abuser homeless, he can be there to help them in the society with his life experience.
This is the kind of person we need in the society. People who are able to change, gets their life’s back on track and are willing to put more effort to help the society.
As we know, Mr. Ozzy is still in his youthful age and have more energy and potential to provide wisdom and insight that only abuser can know about where life can go.
Also when we compare him to the other two patients he have the ability to influence the life of our youth to impact their life’s to turn the badness to goodness.
Ex-homeless drug abuser may have a lot of life experience to advice people to turn the young generation who are trying to become drug abusers.
So I think my decision for Mr. Ozzy to be the one to receive the organ transplant was a good thing to do due to all my reasons.
In conclusion, my decision which I made about the three patients on who should receive the organ transplant is utilitarian ethical and I believe that Mr. Ozzy will make a difference in society and become a better man to all and continue to provide help to the youth in the society. I hope my reasons will be put to consideration.

Manners

...Why manners are important in today's society. I think manners are important in today's society because it's a personality trait that's good to have. It's practically a necessity. Great manners help you through a lot of life's obstacles for different reasons. Consideration is a reason why manners are important which goes along with your maturity level and how polite you can be on a daily basis. It shows you're a decent person, and that you understand and have respect for the people around you. Manners are very important when it comes to a good social life, ever since elementary school we were taught to use our manners and be polite to the people we tal k to everyday. People judge you all the time, it's just a way of life, and having great manners brings off a positive response and attitude toward other people, and people will unconsciously think of you as a polite and caring person. Another reason that manners exist for a good reasons is, coexistence. Without polite people around, and well manners, coexistence between humans would be quite difficult I think. Manners are just the guidelines to peaceful coexistence between people, and without it, I think it would be a different kind of society to be living in, kind of like animals. Without manners it would be kind of difficult to have a social life, get a job, have any sort of relationship with people etc. Most of the time we don't think about using our manners everyday, but because it has such a big impact on our...

King Lear

...Kent. I thought the King had more affected the Duke of Albany than Cornwall. Glou. It did always seem so to us; but now, in the division of the kingdom, it appears not which of the Dukes he values most, for equalities are so weigh'd that curiosity in neither can make choice of either's moiety. Kent. Is not this your son, my lord? Glou. His breeding, sir, hath been at my charge. I have so often blush'd to acknowledge him that now I am braz'd to't. Kent. I cannot conceive you. Glou. Sir, this young fellow's mother could; whereupon she grew round-womb'd, and had indeed, sir, a son for her cradle ere she had a husband for her bed. Do you smell a fault? Kent. I cannot wish the fault undone, the issue of it being so proper. Glou. But I have, sir, a son by order of law, some year elder than this, who yet is no dearer in my account. Though this knave came something saucily into the world before he was sent for, yet was his mother fair, there was good sport at his making, and the whoreson must be acknowledged.- Do you know this noble gentleman, Edmund? Life Is a Gift

...letter to you] As much as I try to focus on this, I always end up just deleting it all, and starts over again. But I think I got my words right this time. So here we go. Hey! How are you doing? Have you eaten well? Taken good care of yourself? I know you have! I haven't gotten around to actually say this, but I actually like you. A lot actually. I am sure that this comes as a shocker, but I think I love you. Please don't be afraid of me, or think that I am some weird guy, but I truly mean it when I say this, "I love you". As far as I can remember, back in January, you came along and somehow you stayed with me all the way. You have been here ever since I started on this page, and for that, I say thank you. Thank you for sticking with me throughout this whole time. Even though it has only been almost 8 months, I can proudly say that I am proud to have you by my side. I think of you whenever I wake up in the morning, I think of you when I sit in class, heck even when I am just checking the clock on my phone, I still think of you, and hope that there will be a message from you. And of course I get messages from you, actually, you are pretty active when it comes to getting in contact with me. I am happy to see that you actually care for me as well. But I need to apologize. Sorry for leaving you behind. I know that 6 days might not seem a lot to many, but those were the 6 most painful days of my life. To not be able to see you or even get in contact with you for 6...

...My Last Farewell 1 Farewell, dear Fatherland, clime of the sun caress'd, Pearl of the Orient seas, our Eden lost! Gladly now I go to give thee this faded life's best, And were it brighter, fresher, or more blest, Still would I give it thee, nor count the cost. 2 On the field of battle, 'mid the frenzy of fight, Others have given their lives, without doubt or heed; The place matters not--cypress or laurel or lily white, Scaffold of open plain, combat or martyrdom's plight, 'Tis ever the same, to serve our home and country's need. 3 I die just when I see the dawn break, Through the gloom of night, to herald the day; And if color is lacking my blood thou shalt take, Pour'd out at need for thy dear sake, To dye with its crimson the waking ray. 4 My dreams, when life first opened to me, My dreams, when the hopes of youth beat high, Were to see thy lov'd face, O gem of the Orient sea, From gloom and grief, from care and sorrow free; No blush on thy brow, no tear in thine eye 5 Dream of my life, my living and burning desire, All hail! cries the soul that is now to take flight; All hail! And sweet it is for thee to expire; To die for thy sake, that thou mayst aspire; And sleep in thy bosom eternity's long night. If over my grave some day thou seest grow, In the grassy sod, a humble flower, Draw it to thy lips and kiss my soul so, While I may feel on my brow in the cold tomb below The touch of thy tenderness, thy breath's warm power. Loss Experience

...I looked at him as the coolest out of the myriad of older relatives. He often bought me ice cream sundaes and showered me with aimless jokes and “piggy-back” rides. Most of the time spent visiting my father on weekends, was actually spent wrestling with Uncle Alberto or playing video games until the break of daylight. I looked forward weekends, because that meant “Uncle Dean Time”. I expected to hang out with my Uncle Dean every Friday and Saturday. In fact, I knew for certain he would be waiting at my father’s home with some brand new clothes or any other prize vied for by a 10 year old. Little did I know that over the next couple of years, I would gain knowledge of one of the most important lessons of life: value those dearest to you, for you never know how long they will be in your company. When 12 years old came around, nothing could’ve primed me for the amount of devastation that was to submerge my happy little world. Two months after my birthday, I received word that my renowned and dearly loved, Uncle Dean, had been killed in an unfortunate automobile accident. Crushed, yet filled with a strange numbness, I became withdrawn and dwindled in disbelief. “How could this be?” I would repeat those words of this...

...Even my so-called "friends". No-one took me seriously. So my filmmaking ambition didn't get off the ground. I thought I should give up my creativity for good. What's the point of telling stories if no-one cares? Then I realized, you don't need fame as filmmaker or author to show people how creative you are. So that's why I turned to posting stories on this site. And I get a lot of views from all over the world and that makes me very happy. Now that I'm an adult, I'm actually glad I never became a big filmmaker or a celebrity. And here's why: No matter where you are, people just won't leave you alone. If you want your privacy, there is no chance. You want to have a nice quiet meal in a restaurant. Just you and your family, but fans keep interrupting you asking for your autographs. It is nice to make a fan happy, but when you have to do it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over, it'll drive you mad. And if you are the child of a famous star, it is like being thrown in with the lions. You will get bullied at school, just because your parent is famous. It's even worse if the child does not choose fame and is born to famous family anyway. Not everyone you will meet in life is nice to you. We all know that. If you are a...

Inaugural Speech of Obama

...Obama Inaugural Address  20th January 2009 My fellow citizens: I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition. Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because We the People have remained faithful to the ideals of our forbearers, and true to our founding documents. So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Americans. That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet. These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics...

Letter from a Pilot

...Letter from an airline pilot: He writes: My lead flight attendant came to me and said, "We have an H.R. On this flight." (H.R. Stands for human remains.) "Are they military?" I asked. 'Yes', she said. ... 'Is there an escort?' I asked. 'Yes, I've already assigned him a seat'. 'Would you please tell him to come to the flight deck. You can board him early," I said.. A short while later, a young army sergeant entered the flight deck. He was the image of the perfectly dressed soldier. He introduced himself and I asked him about his soldier. The escorts of these fallen soldiers talk about them as if they are still alive and still with us. 'My soldier is on his way back to Virginia ,' he said. He proceeded to answer my questions, but offered no words. I asked him if there was anything I could do for him and he said no. I told him that he had the toughest job in the military and that I appreciated the work that he does for the families of our fallen soldiers. The first officer and I got up out of our seats to shake his hand. He left the flight deck to find his seat. We completed our pre-flight checks, pushed back and performed an uneventful departure. About 30 minutes into our flight I received a call from the lead flight attendant in the cabin. 'I just found out the family of the soldier we are carrying, is on board', she said. She then proceeded to tell me that the father, mother, wife and 2-year old daughter were escorting their son, husband, and father...

...The Final Quest by Rick Joyner The Hordes of Hell Are Marching (Taken from "The Morning Star," Vol. 5, Nos 2-4, by Rick Joyner) The Evil Army I saw a demonic army so large that it stretched as far as I could see. It was separated into divisions, with each carrying a different banner. The foremost and most powerful divisions were Pride, Self righteousness, Respectability, Selfish Ambition, and Unrighteous Judgment, but the largest of all was Jealousy. The leader of this vast army was the Accuser of the Brethren himself. I knew that there were many more evil divisions beyond my scope of vision, but these were the vanguard of this terrible horde from hell that was now being released against the church. The weapons carried buy this horde had names on them: the swords were named Intimidation; the spears were named Treachery; and their arrows were named Accusations, Gossip, Slander and Faultfinding. Scouts and smaller companies of demons with such names as Rejection, Bitterness, Impatience, Un-forgiveness and Lust were sent in advance of this army to prepare for the main attack. I knew in my heart that the church had never faced anything like this before. The main assignment of this army was to cause division. It was sent to attack every level of relationship-churches with each other, congregations with their pastors, husbands and wives, children and parents, and even children with each other. The scouts were sent to locate the openings in churches, families or individuals that rejection...

Go to Market Strategies

...Baseline current go-to-market activities Posted on November 6, 2009 by Kamran How do you capture your revenue today? We asked thousands of business owners, CEOs, and VPs of sales and marketing this question. Guess what? Most of them stumbled. Do you know the answer? If your answer is yes, congratulations! You are ready for the next question:Do you know how profitable each channel is? The purpose of the baseline step is to answer these two questions with hard facts and document the underlying assumptions, beliefs and opportunities in existing go-to-market activities. The problem is that many organizations don’t know what they already know. Even in the age of the Internet, business units and departments are still working in silo, perfecting, rejecting, and innovating sales and marketing tactics without sharing with others. So the idea of the baseline activity is to bring everyone on board and create a fact base of current activities so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. The question is, what information should be collected and from where? Advances in analytics and business intelligence have allowed organizations to collect tons of data that can be sliced and diced a thousand different ways. If you are not collecting this data, don’t worry. To make reasonably accurate decisions, you really don’t need to know if Edward Jones wears a yellow shirt when he buys orange flowers for his girlfriend Jill. There is a place for such detailed data; however, for our purposes we can live...
