My hometown is quite a small village about 45km from Nha trang city. It is in the middle of Vietnam. The areas in my village are surrounded by the sea. You can call it “ fishing village”. Far away from the beach, there are some beautiful islands. It will be a great place for the travellers who are interested in it. The weather is so comfortable, there are two main seasion in the year, it is dry seasion and rainy seasion.
My hometown is a fishing village so the life is rather quiet and poor. It is not as noisy and developmental as the big cities. We have only a small market, gas station and a primary school because most of the young people are living, working and learning in Nhatrang City or Hochiminh City. The oldmen, women and children are the main people who live here. All of the men in my village are fishermen. They are very hard-working, friendly and kind. Everyday they get up in the early morning to go to work. They catch many kind of diffirent sea foods in the sea. Their wife will stay at home, do housework, take care of the chidren and wait for their husband. When the men come back home, their wife will get the seafood, go to the market and sell them. That’s their daily work. Their life depend on the seafood which they catch everday so it is more difficult.
The main job in my hometown is fishing and The fisherman believe that the Whale will protect them when they are working in the sea. Therefore we always have a fetival for the Whale every year. We wear traditional clothes, sing folk songs and have a big party together with all the people in the village. That’s really interesting and the people wiil be more closed. I love it a lot.
Far a way from the beach, there are some islands. The view is so beautiful, interesting and wild. It has very big rocks, some strange trees and trange animals. This is the main tourist attractions in my hometown. You know, it is a great palce to enjoy many kind of diffirent sea food, too. For example: lobster, crab, octopus,.. It’s very cheap and fresh. The travellers can it a lot and don’t care about the price and quality. Besides, we have more special food like fish sauce, dried sea food and mango cake. I see the traveller always buy some of them when they leave hehe. Moreover they are easy to buy beautiful gilfs made by the shell in all of the souvenir shop here. That’s will be extreme lovely gifts for friends and family. The summer is the good time for everyone to come my hometown and enjoy the holiday. The travellers can eat fresh sea food and enjoy the fresh air in the sea, too. So that my village attracted lots of traveller who love sea and sea food. We always welcome everyone.

...keep to this rule unless you are instructed otherwise.) Not only is a topic sentence the first sentence of a paragraph, but, more importantly, it is the most general sentence in a paragraph. What does "most general" mean? It means that there are not many details in the sentence, but that the sentence introduces an overall idea that you want to discuss later in the paragraph. For example, suppose that you want to write a paragraph about the natural landmarks of your hometown. The first part of your paragraph might look like this: My hometown is famous for several amazing natural features. First, it is noted for the Wheaton River, which is very wide and beautiful. Also, on the other side of the town is Wheaton Hill, which is unusual because it is very steep. (Notice how the first sentence begins with "My hometown..." a few spaces to the right of the paragraph edge. This is an indentation. All paragraphs in English MUST begin with an indentation.) Note how the first sentence, My hometown, Wheaton, is famous for several amazing geographical features,is the most general statement. This sentence is...

Why People Travel

...short period of time. Another reason one might travel is to Celebrate. Many people travel to celebrate special occasions such as: a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or birth. There’s always something to celebrate and it doesn’t always happen where you live. Another reason one might travel is to go on a Honeymoon. When people get married they usually celebrate their wedding by going on a Honeymoon. This usually occurs after a wedding, but there are many occasions where people celebrate their honeymoon years later. Another reason one might travel is work related. Job requirements might mean a fair bit of travel is involved. Even if the travel is within your own country it still has a purpose attached to it. My most recent travel experience was to Six Flags over Georgia. My reason for traveling was to get away from my hometown and go somewhere and have fun and enjoy myself. We chose to go to Six Flags over Georgia because we enjoy riding the rides in the amusement park, and we also were able to go to the water park (White...

Paragraph 1

...design has always fascinated me and after working at a small furniture store in my hometown, I fell in love with how creative one can be in this field. Cindy Wilbanks, my ninety-year-old manager at the time, was a true inspiration. Her knowledge and experience in interior design paved the way for my continued interest in designing spaces and creating one of a kind experiences for customers. Ms. Wilbanks’ fifty years of experience and her unique wealth of knowledge encouraged me on a daily basis. She worked her way up over the years and never gave up on her dream of owning her own store. She indeed opened and ran a successful store of her own and landed herself at the top of the industry. She eventually sold her legacy store, becoming one of the wealthiest women in Texas. Thankfully, she decided to train individuals like myself and worked in the industry with an undeniable passion all of her life. I’m excited that I now have that same passion for my career and I look forward to visiting with you to discuss what I can bring to your team. Paragraph 2 Like I told you before, there is a position open here at Schmaltz Bookkeeping Service. The position is as assistant to my boss, Glendora Brock. I know you feel like you don’t have the experience to be an assistant in the bookkeeping world, but I honestly feel like you would be perfect. I would like to recommend you if you would allow me to. Your experience in sales at Dillard’s and Macy’s is exactly what is needed – you are...

Last School Holiday

...Last school holiday, my family and I went back to our hometown, the eagerly-awaited holidays bring a respite from homework, lessons, extracurricular activities and exams. For me, spending a holiday at home is equally unbearable.          0n the last day of school,  I  eagerly waited for the bell to ring at 1:10 p.m.. Then, I felt like a caged bird hat has just been set free. I slang my bag over my shoulder and make a beeline for the bust station. My hometown!         We started our journey early in the morning. When we arrived, we had a quick lunch. I make a short exchange and headed for my favourite spot here- a secluded corner of my grandfather durian orchards. There under a shady spot, I sat down a surveyed the surroundings.           Here, far away from claustrophobic classrooms, rushing crowds, busy sidewalks and congested streets, I enjoyed the solitude of nature. As I took my seat on a flimsy woody bench, and looked around me, I can see a flurry of activities. Birds flew gracefully and noiselessly above me while bees traveled flirtatiously from tree to tree, colourful butterflies flit about here and there flapping their fragile wings and ants scurry in a single file carrying bits of food on their tiny backs.             A soft cool breeze blowed. I can hear the soft rustle of leaves. The air is heavy with the scent of shrubs and grasses coupled with the scent of ripe durians.             I lied on my back with my hand clasped behind my head and watched streaks of...

Angeles City

...Blistered Home When I hear the word “home”, the first thing that comes into my mind is a quiet, cozy place where I feel content. Although if someone were to ask me where my hometown is, I would say, “Angeles City,” because that is the only logical answer. I know and feel that this lively city with a hodgepodge of colorful people does not feel anything like my idea of home, but it is where I’ve lived for the entirety of my life and I will acknowledge that. Angeles City, commonly known as the “Entertainment Capital of the Philippines”, is not exactly that but it sure is close. If you know where to go and what to do, there’s never a dull moment when you’re here. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a more peculiar place. If you’ve ever been to Angeles City, the first thing you’ll most likely notice is the haphazard smorgasbord of eatery scattered everywhere. This is because according to most people, this city serves only the best food. Growing up, I have been able to experience the cultural taste of Angeles and without realizing it, I inevitably became used to the overload of flavor present in our food; so much that whenever we eat someplace when we go on vacations, everything just seems bland in comparison. It is not only our food that is queer, but the residents are as well. Because our food is well known, some people judge our way of living based on that but while our food is traditional, us residents are anything but. In fact, I would say we’re the opposite...

My Hometown

...My Hometown I have many memories of my hometown. I began to grow up almost 30 years ago in Cuba's Capital. Then, Havana seemed different, compared to how it is todays. In these three decades Havana's architecture has been changing as well as the systems of urban transportation, and the opportunities of job. Actually it's Castro's Havana totally frozen on the time? There are several differences among my hometown 30 years ago and it now in the present. Between those 30 years Havana it has been changing architectonically. On one side a lot of homes and publics buildings have been neglected, and they are becoming dilapidated. Moreover the need to transform, both, the interior and the facades of houses to create several small spaces. Also, in some private places the decoration is not appropriate, subtracting beauty to the public ornamentation. Comparing to years ago is disrespecting to the original form from the foregoing in my hometown. The transportation system has changed over these 30 years. Earlier people used mainly public transport, bus and local taxis. All at a low price as possible for everyone. In contrast, today, there is good public transport and people mainly use private vehicles more than 50 years ago as taxis and pedicabs called up or bicycle taxis. Likewise, other types of taxis that only the state can pay people more economically. Moreover, the population has increased, creating more job opportunities privately previously did not exist...

From these divisions leadership and management is then regionally developed and divided into regions of each division all the way down to store managers. The headquarters of this nearly billion dollar corporation still lies in the state of Arkansas where it was began, which would make Walmart United States the top division of the three. This organizational structure is for a global, publically shared company that is seemingly only profiting more with time. A smaller company such as a hometown car dealership would operate under a much different organizational structure. Most of them in my area are family owned and operated, which would reflect on the matrix structure more than anything. One head CEO of the small company in my hometown is in charge of the whole thing....

Sonic Highways Evaluation

...Vanessa Zsorey Dr. McCort College Comp 11 December 2015 Sonic Highways A band lasting as long as twenty years in the music industry with their original sound not suffering is a rarity. The Foo Fighters, led by the legendary Dave Grohl, are magnificent rockers who throughout two decades, continue to stay relevant in many ways. Throughout these twenty years they have released nine albums, each of which contained some of the biggest alternative rock hits of all time. Though they may not be riding the radio waves constantly or may only appeal to a shrinking audience, their craft has never once suffered. Their newest album, Sonic Highways, is pure proof that the Foo Fighters continuously try to push themselves out of their comfort zones in order to remain interesting to their fans. Sonic Highways was the most recent project the Foo Fighters have put out and the most creative of the past eight albums. The process to create this album was far more in depth and unique compared to the traditional methods. Typically, when a band decides they want to record, they find the closest studio that is in their price range and is the best quality necessary to fit the project. Mixing the recordings has gotten incredibly easy in recent times, where all that is really necessary is the ProTools program. With Protools, any errors can easily be cleaned and corrected, then moved on to the master CD and sent off to be pressed. A decade ago, recording and mixing were not nearly as simple or cheap...
