The US mobile users are approaching 330 million. The top two manufacturers which are Apple and Samsung, made up 68 percent of the US mobile market. All of the world, Android has become the worldwide operating system, but the Samsung is still struggling to catch up Apple in the United States.

According to appendix 1, Apple increased 1.0 percentage in terms of smart-phone subscribers from 40.6 to 41.6 percent, while Samsung gained 1.3 percentages from 25.4 to 26.7 percent. LG gained 0.3 percentage form 6.6 to 6.9 percent, Motorola and HTC dropped 0.6 and 1.3 percentage from 7.0 to 6.4 percent and from 6.7 to 5.4 percent.
Apple led ascendancy as the top mobile market in the US. Apple has started strong in the first month of 2014: 41.6 percentage shares. In 2013, Apple's iPhone 5S has the largest share market (59 percent) in sales and the iPhone 5C comprised 27 percent of sales while the iPhone 4S had 14 percent in the US Apple mobile market. Samsung gained higher increasing rate mobile market share than Apple, however, still less than Apple at 26.7 percent.
Apple beat out rival Samsung with 41.6 percent market share as compared to Samsung's 26.7 percent. When comparing changes over the measured periods, Apple, Samsung and LG made small gains, while Motorola and HTC fell.

Again using Appendix B I can calculate that the dividend yield in 2010 was 13.3% and in 2011 it increased by 50.3% to 20%. As both the dividend per share and dividend yield have increased shareholders will be making an increased profit which will not only encourage them to retain their profits back into the company, but it will also encourage them to continue supporting Scott Electronic Plc, and not look to buying shares in competitor’s such as Apple. ...Essay Maximizing shareholder value versus meeting the needs of all stakeholders. I did not grow up in New England and have only lived here for 10 years so Market Basket was relatively new to me. I certainly didn’t know about the higher wages and benefits the employees have enjoyed nor the family dynamics that operated within the company. It does seem odd that a company could have 2 cousins with the same first and last name wrestling for control of a multigenerational business, but truth can be stranger than fiction. After reading the article and watching the video, it reminded me that the Market Basket battle played out right here in our local community. In particular I remember going into the Market Basket in New Bedford last summer and seeing all the shelves barely stocked and speaking with a few employees about their fervent support of the ousted CEO. As an aside, we have many Market Basket employees that receive their medical care throughout the Southcoast system so I certain can see the interconnectivity between a corporation and the community. It’s been my experience that there are quite a few companies that do believe in meeting the needs of stakeholders and not just shareholder value. One in particular was Anheuser-Busch. To better understand how the power affects firm governance and performance, we decompose CEO power into three dimensions--structural, ability based, and ownership related. While structural power is indeed harmful--it is associated with higher managerial entrenchment, lower pay for performance sensitivity (PPS), and weaker firm performance--its impact on firm performance is benign when CEO power is restrained by strong external governance mechanisms. Concentration of ability based power in CEO appears to enhance firm performance, but only when external governance is strong. CEO share ownership (as independent variable) shows a U-shaped relation with entrenchment, and -shaped relations with PPS and performance.
