In this report, I going to focus 3 methods for partitioning the hard disk and also explain the advantages for the methods. It going to make the hard disk to be better organized, more productive and ensure our integrity of data.

Organizing the works

Safeguarding the data

Boosting computer's performance

Organizing the works

This method can make your computer to without worrying about losing work when things go wrong. We can just easily use System Restore if something goes wrong. We can find our data quickly and keep it organized. Other that moves suspended or inactive projects to another partition until we need them or until they're ready to be archived to the partition. Defragmentation of Data partition will be more quickly, which further reduces potential downtime.

Safeguard the data

This helps us to protect our work from disappearing should when physical disk fail. We can copy the subfolder from my Data partition to a new subfolder that we created in the partition. Name the new subfolder in partition by date or project which is easy to be recognize. Keeping the date or name in subfolder helps us more easily find something that we was working on a few days ago in case we need to restore an earlier version of a document or file

Boosting computer's performance

Although we got a not high-performance computer but its performance can be improved by a good partitioning scheme. The biggest boost comes from the Paging. I Move the paging file to 1 place. A well-known method for improving performance on a Windows-based computer is to move the paging file (pagefile.sys) from its usual location on drive C to its own separate partition on a separate physical drive. Keep the Paging partition small format it using the FAT32 file system but we can still seek out some performance gains for small volumes by formatting them as FAT32.Replace old 5400 rpm drives with newer 7200 or 10000 rpm drives. If we have the budget, we can speed performance of disk activity by installing one of these faster drives.

FORMAT HARD DISK
We must format a hard drive to use it in Windows. To format a hard drive basically means to delete the information on the drive and setup a file system. The best way to format a hard drive in Windows is by using the Disk Management tool. We can only format a hard drive after we partitioned it. A hard drive that we want to format but that we are already been using in Windows has already been partitioned. Something like setting up a file system might sound hard but it's actually very easy to format a hard drive in Windows. However, a brand new hard drive installed in a computer will not be partitioned. Formatting the C drive, or whatever letter happens to identify the partition that Windows is installed on, cannot be done from Disk Management or from anywhere else in Windows. When you format a hard drive, you don't actually erase any information, you only hide it from the operating system. If the selected partition is larger than 32 gigabytes (GB), the FAT file system option is not available. If the partition is smaller than 2 GB, the Windows Setup program uses the FAT16 file system. After the Windows Setup program is finished and we have to restart the computer.

This is some format option that we can choose for the operating system:

Format the partition by using the NTFS file system (Quick)

Format the partition by using the FAT file system (Quick)

Format the partition by using the NTFS file system

Format the partition by using the FAT file system

Leave the current file system intact (no changes)

FDISK.EXE and FORMAT.COM are the files required in our hard disk. Make sure you set the BIOS so that the boot sequence is set to detect the hard disk first. If the system has no problems booting and it will be presented with a Windows boot disk menu. This gives the option to start the system with or without CD-ROM support. It should end up in the MS DOS prompt A: (A drive). From A: command prompt type fdisk. It will be presented with following message:

Nadchodzi zima, hibernacja mnie dopada, Rób miejscu w łóżku bo na ryj spadam, To nie pierwszy raz kiedy z wątpliwości upadam. Wstaję i walczę, idę dalej po ciebie, Za każdym razem gdy mnie przytulasz jestem w niebie. Jesteś tej nieustannej walki i skruchy warta Kiedyś mi za to podziękujesz, jak Francja za Napoleona Bona Parta. 2. ...SAIL'S VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT SCHEME Case Code-HROB002 Published-2003 INTRODUCTION At a meeting of the board of directors in June 1999, the CEOs of Steel Authority of India's (SAIL) four plants - V. Gujral (Bhilai), S. B. Singh (Durgapur), B.K. Singh (Bokaro), and A.K. Singh (Rourkela) made their usual presentations on their performance projections. One after the other, they got up to describe how these units were going to post huge losses, once again, in the first quarter[1] of 1999-2000. After incurring a huge loss of Rs 15.74 billion in the financial year 1998-99 (the first in the last 12 years), the morale in the company was extremely low. The joke at SAIL's headquarters in Delhi was that the company's fortunes would change only if a VRS was offered to its CEOs - not just the workers. Ognisty Lod

...CLIVE CUSSLER PAUL KEMPRECOS OGNISTY LÓD (Przełożył: Maciej Pintara) AMBER 2002 Prolog Odessa, Rosja 1918 rok Późnym popołudniem wiatr nagle zmienił kierunek i przygnał do portu gęstą mgłę. Szare wilgotne opary spowiły kamienne nabrzeża i kłębiły się nad monumentalnymi schodami. W ruchliwym porcie czarnomorskim nagle zrobiło się ciemno. Odwołano rejsy promów i statków pasażerskich. Mnóstwo marynarzy zostało bez zajęcia. Kapitan Anatolij Towrow szedł nabrzeżem w przenikliwie zimnej mgle. Słyszał wybuchy pijackiego śmiechu w zatłoczonych knajpach i burdelach. Minął główne skupisko barów, skręcił w zaułek i otworzył nieoznakowane drzwi. W nozdrza uderzyło go ciepłe powietrze przesycone dymem papierosowym i zapachem wódki. Tęgi gość przy stoliku w rogu przywołał go gestem.

When any student is unable to understand a particular topic, he is advised to imagine the whole matter and then try to understand it. Normally, this method succeeds. But in engineering stream considering the study of wide range of process and equipments involved in it, it is hard to understand the unit operations and processes just through books or even with imagination .Unless one happens to see the process, equipments, he is like a soldier who knows to fire the gun ,but is yet to face a war. Industrial training is one of the most vital part of a syllabus of chemical engineering, which not only teaches one the industrial unit operations, equipments and other technical aspects, but also teaches discipline, interaction with various people irrespective of their posts, the importance of teamwork, etc. This report contains a brief introduction to GUJRAT REFINERY and knowledge gathered about various units in refinery during the training.
