Host University of Phoenix has defined a series of goals that are applied throughout all programs and courses. These goals are intended to provide students with a specific array of skills and values to be successful academically and professionally.

The first of these goals is professional competence and values. Graduates of the university will become proficient in specific disciplinary knowledge and will be able to apply this knowledge in real-world applications. In addition, graduates will have learned to become lifelong learners who strive to remain informed and competitive in their field.

The information learned in each course of your program is geared toward helping you gather skills and knowledge that will be useful to your personal life and career. Not only will you learn the information necessary in each course to understand a topic, but you will also gather information applicable to other courses and your career of choice.

The second learning goal is critical thinking and problem solving. Graduates of University of Phoenix still reason clearly and critically. Each graduate will be able to identify and evaluate problems, use critical thinking skills to locate and determine the best option and implement solutions, and evaluate the outcomes of their solutions.

Critical thinking is crucial to one’s academic endeavors, and to personal and work life. In each class, students must think critically about a problem or question, analyze the problem, and provide solutions based on analysis. Effective critical thinking provides more successful solutions and informs solutions for future problem solving. This will also allow you to think more deeply about a subject, turning a 2- to 3-page paper into 4 or 5 pages.

Here, we identify key drivers to online cart abandonment and suggest cognitive and behavioral reasons for this non-buyer behavior. We show that the factors influencing consumer online search, consideration, and evaluation play a larger role in cart abandonment than factors at the purchase decision stage.
