CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION
Computer had been a powerful tool for progress, a reason that made every sector of the society adapts the principle of computerization. The technology will help to improve and manage the problems of the school. The computer will help the staff to make their work easier and faster especially when students start to enroll. As time goes by the population of the student will continue to increase. The school staff will not be able to update the student’s files. This will result in an increased of redundant and inaccurate information.
The System is all about TPS (Transaction Processing System) or the transaction server which is a combination of software/hardware that supports transaction processing. Transaction Processing System processes large amount of data for routine business activities or transactions. The proponents studied and propose for the Transaction Processing System of Karamay Christian School. Base from their manual system of Transaction Processing System the proponent decided to change the manual system to computerize to make transaction reliable and consistent.
The proponent will recommend computerizing the enrollment system to eliminate the data redundancy errors and inconsistency of data. The enrollment system is a system by which the students transact business with the school by knowing what section they belong through evaluating their grades by the teachers. In every year this is expected that enrollees are increasing and the schedule of the enrollment system of the school is easier and reliable. Nowadays, technology arises, and the computer is very important also in a company to manage reports effectively.

1.1 Statement of the Problem
After gathering data, the proponents found out the school is still using a manual enrollment system. The problem that the proponents would like to solve is: 1.1.1 General Problem
How to develop computer-based enrollment systems that will expedite current enrollment process: * Developing a computer-based enrollment system that would accelerate to the process of enrollment system easy.
1.1.2 Specific Problem
● How to create a module thUat the student will register their information
The registration of their manual system takes a lot of effort for keeping files and records of the enrollees. The assigned teacher needs to keep the file and records of his/her enrollees. After filing it, they need to arrange the files according to section and in alphabetical order.

* How to develop a module that trace the repetition of the data and detect the may occurs in a school scheduling. The host company is doing their class scheduling manually, the class schedule How to develop a module that will provide assessment for student that will include the breakdown of payment.
The San Antonio Elementary School need to provide an information sheet to the enrollee for them to know the breakdown amount that they need to pay, including the terms of payments for the student avoid asking about their payments records that consuming a lot of time.

* How to develop a module that will track records and generate data fast and effective.
The San Antonio Elementary School Generating reports was only store in a filing cabinet then if it is needed and need to update or needed upon request the assign personnel will have to find for it manually so it will take a lot of time looking for it.

1.2 Current State of Technology
Current State of Technology
The proponent has decided to propose the San Antonio Elementary School which is located at San Antonio Ext. Brgy. Katipunan SFDM Quezon City, and established on 1947, before it was named Matadero Annex, annex of Bonifacio Elementary School. The process of enrollment of San Antonio Elementary School for the New Student/Grade1 is to pass the requirements photocopy of NSO, Certification of Kindergarten, and duly accomplished the Information Sheet of the student.
For the Transferee came from the public and private school is need to pass the Good moral, photocopy of NSO, Form 138 followed by Form 137 and fill up the Information sheet record. The incomplete requirements will accept of the school but need the promissory letter.
The start of enrollment of school for the old student is the end of class, continuing on vacation and ends on the last week of June and they enrolling with their parents/ guardian. The student has an option of donating the amount and utility needs whether the student willing to donate or not, every student not to force. The proponent decided to conduct a case study to this school, for them enhance their knowledge and skills in computer regarding this Computerized Enrollment System. We will offer fast and accurate processing of enrolment system, implement a strong security in maintaining files and design a user friendly interface. If this will push through only this school in their district has this computerized system.

1.3 Objectives The following are the objectives of the proponents to the problems their encounter during data gathering.
1.3.1 General Objectives
The study aims to designed and develop a computer-based enrollment system that will improve the enrollment transaction processing of school by making it faster, reliable and accurate. * To develop computer-based enrollment system, for Karamay Christian School that will enable the process of enrollment system faster, reliable, and accurate through the easy way of enrollment and can lessen a workload and time consuming.
1.3.2 Specific Objectives

* The proponent will develop a module that is capable for enrollment records, for the restriction and privacy of records of every student enrolled through the computer-based of enrollment system.

* It will develop a module with the process of class scheduling accurately to detect immediately the errors of every class schedule to avoid conflicts of the subject enrolled for the sake of students and teachers. It will develop a process of class scheduling that will lessen the time and efforts of the school staffs.

* It will create assessments form for the students and parents upon enrolling that having the information not only about the personal data’s but to know the breakdown of every payment, and a required day of payments to remind them for the exact day of payments schedule of every payment.

* It will create a report features and functionalities that will generate pertinent reports anytime they need. It will create a module that can monitor the status of records and reports features like Subject Master File and Student Master File with the use of Computer-based enrollment system for the use of teachers and others.

1.3.4 Scope and Limitation
The proponent develops computer-based enrollment system for this school had the following feature. * File Maintenance The file maintenance module can add, edit and update such as subject master file and section master file. In this module authorized personnel can edit and correct the records of student information, scheduling, level etc,. In module the trusted end user’s can only add the new records, edit or change the incorrect data and update the existing records.

* Transactions The transaction module covers all the transaction and billing process such as, class schedule, payments, and promotion. In the assessment module, it includes the schedule of classes. The student’s payments which include the miscellaneous also include the mode of payments. * Reports
With database system generation of reports such as student’s master file, section master file, subject master file, and payment reports will be faster and more reliable by reducing or eliminating errors such as data redundancy and make that information available on demands.

* Functional Monitoring the system and cover different sub-modules such as Audit Trial, where the user can track those who have accessed the system and transactions they have processed the Back-up sub-module, where user can back-up files which the system can retrieve with the uses of Restore sub-module, where user can restore the back-up file in case of the accidental erasure or deletion.

Limitations The proponents proposed by the system also have its limitations the faculty members and the cashier only could access on the computer about the files of the student, reports that they passed on the school admission during enrollment to make all the files safe and secured every time. and student are also not include in the propose enrollment system the computation of breakdown of grades of every student is also not include on the system.

...Chapter 1 THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND Introduction English language teaching has become very important because of the global status of English and people all over the world are learning this language. English language programs worldwide have become increasingly aware of the needs for curriculum review due to both demographic and situational changes taking place. As students’ populations, societal views, and institutional factors are constantly changing, English language programs need to be implemented routinely to make the changes necessary to facilitate the desired outcome of the program. Determining the needs of students is seen as a direct way to inform the teachers of the possible goals and objectives necessary to create a teaching and learning environment suited to the needs of the students. According to Nunan, 1989, the effectiveness of a language program will be dictated as much by the attitudes and expectations of the learners by the specifications of the official curriculum. It is important to understand how students’ perceived language needs because this will give the language teachers the idea on what to teach to the learners. The needs of a learner represent the gap between what the learner wants to get out of the learning experience and his or her current state of knowledge, skill, and enthusiasm (Noessel, 2003). Each learner is unique, and brings to the learning situation his or her own different learning style, knowledge set, pool of past experiences...
