1.)The advantage of the systems is that these systems provide the types of services needed and desired by the hospital and office staff. Another advantage is that the employees already know how to work the systems, if they changed to a new system they would have to train the employees. To start or change a system is costly. The disadvantage is that Monon system does not pull up the Ducane records. The physician does not correlate with the acute care hospital system, Monon.
2.)I would want all departments that use the systems to be a part of the committee. Those that use the Monon system this includes obstetrics, in-patient psych, cardiac surgery and pediatrics. Along with those that use the Ducane system which is the physician practices that includes 12 primary care practices, 10 specialist practices, and 4 stand-alone urgent care clinics. I would want all of these departments involved so that I could get input on what parts of the systems work and do not work for them.
3.)I would also want to know how much the government incentive is and how much of an increase it would be for the patient’s hospital and office visits. If the increase is too …show more content…
