National Honor Society To be inducted into the National Honor Society is a privilege that is sought after by those willing to dedicate themselves to greatness. In my efforts, believe I belong in this program. With experience as a leader in every aspect of life, I know I exhibit the required traits of leadership, scholarship, character, and service. As both a successful student and hardworking volunteer, I can reassure to all that I will be a valuable member of the National Honor Society. Leadership, as a whole, requires a high degree of perseverance and dedication. Even from a very young age, I have learned to express these traits. While getting involved with the community is a great place to start, I aim to one day help others outside my community, too. With joining the Habitats for Humanities club at Cherokee, I am expected to help others in need. I will be not only building affordable houses for those who need it, but also providing much needed clothing and furniture. We often take for granted the things that we have, and it is unfortunate that others have to experience what it feels to be homeless. I got involved in this program to really make a difference in someone's life. Be it as simple as providing a new bed, to providing a roof over their head, I will do anything to help those in need. I present myself to others has a caretaker, as well as a helping hand. Another club that i am involved with is Peer Leaders. Nominated for my leadership skills, I work with special ed children in my school, as well as young children at the elementary level. From cleaning a community pool as a part of giving back program at Saint Joseph's, to the care taking of my neighbor's cat when they are away, I involve myself in organizations that help to benefit those around me. I have docked well over 100 plus hours of community service since freshman year. Even in eighth grade I found myself helping to feed the homeless in Philadelphia. Experiencing the thrill of giving back is like no other feeling. Knowing how big of an impact I am able to make on the community is outstanding. I always snap at any chance that I can to get involved with helping others. National Honor Society is where I undoubtedly belong.
