1. One of the main strengths of the book is the painting of a picture of nouthetic counseling in a very easy to understand way. Quite often, Christian counselors use secular ideas to counsel, but call it “Christian counseling.” Scripture needs to be the foundation of what we do, not just putting a Christian spin on a secular way.
