VPN is called Virtual Private Network. The objective of VPN is to provide a secure private connection between networks over the public network. It is commonly used in business due to the factors stated below:
• When data is transferring on the private network, the data will be secured to prevent hackers to try and extract the data due to encryption.

• Employees are allowed to remote into the company network effortlessly
There are two types of connections that are being used for VPN. They are remote access VPN connection and site-to-site VPN connection.
• Remote access VPN A remote access VPN connection allows the user to set up a private connection to the company networks. The user is able to access private data in the company server remotely, even if they are not physically in the company itself. The user will need to have VPN client software to be installed on the computer. The software will enable you to establish a connection to the VPN server. The …show more content…
Virtual Network Computing (VNC), similar to VPN, it is also adopted on a client and server concept. How VNC works, is that a VNC client will be install on the working computer and it will transmit its connection to the servers and duplicates the display of the computer that you remote to and display to the VNC client itself. The purpose of VNC is to allow the user to operate another computer using the Remote Framebuffer Protocol (RFB).
Both VPN and VNC allow you to access data from a remote location. However as stated above, they are very different as well. For VNC, the user will be able to grant himself a full access of the specific computer that he/she remotes to. Whereas VPN only allows access to information and data on the shared network that is connected to the VPN server. The security aspect of the VNC, most of the company will use VPN to greatly enhance its security.
