The career I plan on pursuing is an office assistant. It is a good trade because you you’re indoors and is always under the air where it’s cool. An office assistant works hard just like and other employer at another job. The work long hours of the day keeps records or printing something off for the boss to make sure they make the requirements of their position on the job. It’s not easy being an office assistant though. You have to know what you are doing when you are in the office and not just playing around all day. We don’t just sit at the computer all day we also schedule appointments and prepare presentation materials. We manage files which means we keep up with the important things and put it in a safe place so that is will never go missing. …show more content…
Some people may be in a meeting or can’t get to their phone at that time of the day. That would be a big help for you to answer the phone on such short notice and take the message to pass on to that certain person. Printers are not the only machine that we operate. We also operate photocopiers. We use this machine to make paper copies of documents and other and other visual images quickly and cheaply. When working with people we make sure we are on our best behavior. We treat people with the best respect possible. A lot of people come in with bad attitudes or having a bad day, but it is our job to keep calm and work with the customer even though those things are happening. Knowing how and how not to react to certain situations show maturity and how good your people skills are also. One primary certification is 1C3. Which verifies that you know how to do your job right and to perfection. OSHA-10 is a training that talks about safety and is a certification that you have to have. It is good to have these certification because they will go good on your resume when you decide to apply for an office assistant job. Most office assistant makes an honest living. Not all office assistant

Research Applications Paper

...Business Research Applications Paper RES/320 Research is used in every profession. Whether it is used to take a consensus for interest in juice bar flavors, or to isolate the blood type required for a successful transfusion, it is how all necessary questions get the appropriate and most accurate answers. I work for an organization that provides medical care. Specifically, I work for an ophthalmic clinic and surgical center. Our physician specializes in ocular diseases and refractive correction. Ocular, meaning eyes, is our specialty. Research has been used in this business by almost every person, at all times. From the initial purchase of facilities, to the expansion of facilities, to the care, diagnosis, and treatment of the patients, research is a vital part of our sustainability. Research is a key factor aiding in the physicians ability to diagnose and treat patients. However, additional consideration may need to be taken into account when providing care. When my family first had the idea to start this business, we had no idea where to begin. It was important to do some market research of our own. My father, who would be the physician, had been practicing medicine for years. However, he was no more than a shareholder in the practices he was employed by. He had never started his own practice. However, he knew from experience what type of facility he wanted to work out of and what type of diagnostic equipment would be required. My mother, who would be the CEO, was using...

Research Proposal

...Overview of Organization The organization that I am proposing for the basis of my research paper is Brownstone Day School. Brownstone is a for profit organization that has been in business and family owned in Lakewood, Ohio since 1989. We are a full time daycare center that accepts age range of infant, toddler, preschool and school age. Brownstone participates in two different programs that include the subsidized child care program which is sponsored through Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and Child & Adult Food Care Program. When the director changed in 2010 after replacing the original director of 20 years management took a different turn. Employees that remained on with new director organization and morale decreased. Brownstone no longer felt like a “family” run business even though it was the 2nd generation of the Rafferty family that had taken over. With the change of directors many teachers began to resign and the turn over rate of new teachers reached record numbers. Brownstone is always looking for teachers with any form of a degree to be in compliance with the state. They don't offer a benefits package, 401k plan, sick time and aren't willing to offer a negotiable salary. Brownstone was a top daycare in it's prime but currently struggles to keep in stride with newer and more up to date facilities. I am an infant/toddler teacher and administrative assistant. I started at Tots R Us in October of 2010. I joined Tots R Usat the same time the new director...
