Personal Learning Style and Theory Paper One of the most interesting things a person can ever do is sit and figure out what they love out of life. It could be reading, dancing, studying, making crafts, playing sports and so forth. Whatever it is, it describes that person. As for myself, I am a round-about person that enjoys the smaller things in life. The following paragraphs will explain my individual learning styles, my strength, opportunity for growth, and an improvement strategy that will raise my areas of weakness. A learning[->0] style is a student's consistent way of responding to and using ways in their life to help with the context of learning. “A learning style is said to be the composite of characteristic cognitive, affective, and physiological factors that serve as relatively stable indicators of how a learner perceives, interacts with, and responds to the learning environment” (Webster, 2006). I believe that learning styles are those in educational conditions under which a student is most likely to learn. Thus, learning styles are not really concerned with "what" learners learn, but rather "how" they prefer to learn. There are 7 different learning styles that are described throughout this particular assessment: Visual, Social, Physical, Aural, Verbal, Solitary, and Logical. A visual learner prefers using images, pictures, colors, and maps to organize information and communicate with others. This person can easily visualize objects, plans and outcomes in their mind’s eye. They also have a good spatial sense, which gives them a good sense of direction. Visual learners are those who learn things best through seeing them.

These students may burden and or overshadow quieter students who prefer to work in a quieter environment. The second learning style is an “auditory” learner. It is used to help individuals learn ways that each of us take in and give out knowledge.
