Should Pit-bulls be banned? Yes, or No? Those who thought yes, why? why should they be banned? Is it because they attack people, attack other dogs, is it because they just look scary or is it because of perspective?? Pit-bulls are no different to other dogs so saying pit-bulls should be banned is like saying all medium to large breeds of dog should be gone.

Think about what it's like to have something so meaningful to you taken away for life. This is a feeling pit bull owners endure everyday as their dogs are banned and killed solely on the fact that they are pit bulls.
Pit bull banning is extremely wrong because they are harshly punished for no particular reason. There are many pieces of misinformation about them, and this can all be changed if we could only make good alternative decisions. The banning of pit bulls has finally come around after the attempt to ban German Shepard's in the 70's and Doberman Pinschers in the 80's. After these two breeds won the battle against banning, the law looked at the next positioned 'most dangerous dog'. …show more content…
When other dog breeds attack, the most they get is one news report in the paper and a telling off. This was shown in incidents like when a Labrador mix attacked an elderly man sending him to hospital and a mixed breed dog fatally attacked a child. Both these stories only got 1-2 short news reports in local papers. When an incident occurred which involved a pit-bull sending a woman to hospital to be treated for minor injuries, 230 articles were posted in national and international papers tv news and the dog was euthanized. With such big coverage putting pit bulls in the spotlight, no wonder people deem them as dangerous because they don’t get to hear/see the truth.
