According to Euromonitor, the current value for the footwear industry has increased by 8% in 2015. It also has a projected forecast period of constant 2015 price value CAGR of 5%. At a younger age, Filipino consumers are now becoming financially independent. Popular brands are now entering the local market and because of this the local footwear brands are being forced to lower the prices of their product to attract customers in this tight competition. With the continuous increase in the penetration of the international market in the local scene the local brands are forced to offer discounts that will increase brand attention and promotion to be able to compete with the merging international brands. • We have asked the target customers for their age and according to the survey 40.8% of the respondents are 19 years old. While the 18 years old are 12.8%, the 20 years old are composed of 25.2% and lastly the 21 years old are consist of 19.2%.

• From the results is it gathered that most of the customers are purchasing new shoes quarterly. • Asked the respondents which one of the following do they currently own allowing them to at least choose two. 88.9% of the respondents have chosen flats and 67.9% have sandals.

• According to the survey, the customers usually buy from boutiques and factory outlets.

• The respondents are willing to try shoes that are made from indigenous materials.
