Marketing Management

...Akina Warren American Intercontinental University Unit 3 Individual Project BUSN-300-Lower Division Capstone August 5, 2012 When going for a job or career change it is important to work for a company that is interesting, prosperous, and fits the morality lifestyle I live. These characteristics keeps me at a since of peace when knowing that I didn’t compromise my own ethics, morals or integrity for the sake of having a job. Therefore with this in mind I narrowed the playing field down to three promising firms for my marketing manager profession. The three companies I have chosen are Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Home Depot, and Amazon.com. I will explain in detail throughout this paper why these three companies are my primary candidates Wal-Mart has been around for forty years and was founded upon saving the consumer money. In this fiscal year alone the company has had approximately $444 billion sales and we are only in the eight month of the year. This is a fast pace continually growing company. They currently have 2.2 million associates worldwide and are located in 27 countries as well as all fifty states in the U.S. The biggest asset for working at this company is that they service up to 200 million customers and associates on a weekly basis. Being a customer of Wal-Mart, I have noticed that when the employees have been trained on offering the consumer their brand for an even lesser amount. With this in mind, I would encourage the firm to maybe focus on advertising their...

...support him. But if the situation were reversed, I feel that if his relationship with his parents is not a very good one, then the proper support from his friends and teachers could be a big help to him. Before this class, I never really considered what a major influence a child's environment can have. I knew about the "nature vs. nurture" theory, but I would have thought that the child's parents would have the most influence on them. But after examining all aspects of a child's life, I feel that a child's peers, school and community are even more important. References Baumrind, Diana (2003, August) Parenting Styles. ... ...

David Brainerd Thesis Statement

... David Brainerd was born in Haddam, of Hertford, Connecticut, on April 20th 1718. His father died when he was nine years old, and his mother died when he was fourteen. Brainerd was the third son of nine children, there being five sons and four daughters. He was a sober, unhappy child, but oblivious to sin until the age of seven or eight years of age. At that time, he became slightly concerned of salvation and afraid of death. Brainerd began to ponder eternity when, in the winter of 1732, sickness was prevalent in Haddam. He wanted heaven and the joy that comes with salvation, but didn’t fully understand conversion. In April, a year after his mother died, Brainerd moved from his father’s house to East Haddam. There he spent four years, but even still without God and ignorant of salvation. In April 1737 at nineteen years old Brainerd went to Durham and worked on his farm until he turned twenty. He desired a liberal education, and started to study strictly, because he wanted to be in the ministry. The 1738 David Brainerd went to live with a man named Mr. Fiske, and at his advice he began to keep company with people older than himself. After Mr. Fiske died he continued his studies with his brother, and seeing the carelessness of religious matters in his professors made him of a self-righteous mindset. In the winter of 1738 he felt the conviction of God upon him for the first time, and began to fear the consequences of sin. He feared at one point that the ground would open up under...

Port Expanders

...Arcacia Godfrey 1/19/15 Unit 4 Assignment 1 Port Expanders A Port Expander is a computer hardware that allows more than one device to connect to a single port on a computer. The commodore VIC-20 used a port expander to allow more than one cartridge to be connected to the single ROM cartridge. There are fourteen different types of port available on the expander hardware. * DB-25 Port Expander * Fire wire Port Expander * Serial Port Expander * USB Port Expander * VGA Port Expander * DVI Port Expander * SCSI Port Expander * Audio Port Expander * Video Port Expander * Microphone Port Expander * RS-422 Port Expander * Modbus Port Expander * SATA Port Expander * SAS Port Expander * SSD Port Expander Port Expanders will work for almost any P.C, specific expanders are not made for different PC’s as they are all the same. The advantages of using port expanders are that you can use more ports. SAS port expanders takes a single port and makes many out of them. A single 6GBps port can be expanded so you can connect up to 8 different devices. The Disadvantages of using this are if you used all 8 ports of the 6GBps each device shared this throughout slowing all devices connected this would create a bottleneck effect of all the data and information running through the single port. They are mostly external and require a large power supply creating a strain for a stock supply designed for a specific work load as well as the...
