The stalking footsteps behind me echoed in the night, but was drowned out by the bustling people in the streets. To think it would be this busy around this time. I guess that's what made this place different from the other half of the country that was ruled by strict laws. "Why are you following me?" I asked the stalker as I continued walking.

"Our dearest brother was worried and asked me to go with you."

If it's an order from him, I guess I'd have to deal with it. "I like working on my own, so don't get in my way. Just watch."

After giving chase for a few minutes, I finally felt his Ki. He was already fighting. The tall buildings were helpful, it gave a reflection showing me the shadows of his flame dancing around. That's when I saw him as he flew, his back hitting glass of a store. The glass shattered everywhere and customers began to scatter. "Now you all run!" I ran to Raiden's side, stepping on the broken glasses.

"mei-Reimei!" Raiden grabbed my shoulders, jolting me back to reality. "What are you doing spacing out like that?"

I looked up to see the Akatsuki preparing to hit us with another burst of Ki. A big blast of energy that took on the form of a small whirlwind was coming my way and this time I was able to dodge successfully. It was chaotic Ki with no sense of form. Maybe because the vessel was too young, it didn't seem that powerful.

"Let's get this over with." I concentrated, building up my Ki and sending it to my feet. "Acceleration!" Moving swiftly, before any humans' eyes could adjust, yet alone the demon's, I was standing right in front of it, swinging Shirogane in a cross, injuring the Akatsuki on its chest.
