In 2002 Ronald Zarrella then CEO of Bausch & Lomb was discovered to have misrepresented the credentials on his resume. Mr. Zarrella then submitted a resignation letter. However, the board refused his recognition stating that a change in management was not in the best interest of this shareholders but that instead he would be deprived of the $1.1 million bonus for 2002.
