In the book, The Adventures of Ulysses, the warrior called Ulysses encounters many unscrupulous monsters and beast. But along with Ulysses fantastic battle skill and strength, Ulysses amazing ability to talk, has saved him more than his might. The story of The Cyclops’ Cave is a great illustration of how Ulysses spectacular talent in speaking can save him in his unfortunate situations. While Ulysses was in the Cyclops’ cave he stays calm and uses his ability to speak well to first distract the Cyclops from what it is doing. He prevents the Cyclops from continuing to eat his men by striking up a conversation by asking a polite question.
