Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing the following letter to inform you on the different ways a team can improve their performance, you’ll be given examples that are based on a team that I have already been on.
Objectives of the Team
To meet M3
To Meet P6

Team Performance | Team Activity | Effective | * performance indicators, | My team’s task was to create 4 brand extensions for a selected programme, strictly come dancing. We also had to plan an event to promote the new brand extensions but we were given a strict budget for the venue, the food and entertainment for the guest. Finally once we had done all of that we had to put all the work we had done a PowerPoint presentation, which had to present to some judges and an audience. | The team was very effective due to the fact that we also listen to each other and accepted the ideas of individuals within our groups in order to make they didn’t feel left. The ideas began to follow through, so when it comes to creating our brand extensions for strictly come dancing we had no difficulties at all. The team was also effective because some people in our team have not achieved and met p6, so by come completing the task we meet M3 which the reason we when to the BBC and the people I our groups who never meet and achieved p6 met by the end of the task. | Target setting, | My team only set one target and that was to complete all tasks within the set time, so that we could have time to go over our presentation and perfect any defaults. | The team was ineffective in this situation, members of the group such as Simana and Patricia, were very talkative and lost focus on numerous occasion and we wasted time having to constantly tell them to get back on task. In addition we never had the chance to complete out task in the set time due to the fact that we were given talks and advice from seasoned processionals who worked at the BBC media centre and as a result it reduced the amount of time we had to complete the remainder of our tasks, we even had to rush our power point presentation because eventually we were left with hardly any time to complete it to the best of out ability as a group. | Monitoring, review, , | Once we had complete a task, the team would look over it again just to ensure that we didn’t miss anything out and to also make sure that we did the task correctly. | This was very effective because it allowed the team to notice all the mistakes we made from early on, so the team still had time to correct the mistakes and come up with new ideas on our brand extensions if they were necessary. | Performance targets | In our group we set targets for those within the group such as Simana and Patricia that seemed to be struggling with their individual task, in order to motivate them to work harder | This was effective because Patricia and Simana buckled up and started working properly and effectively once we had set the targets for them as a group and remained them what was also at stake and as a result the team completed the set task. | Support | When were given support from our teachers, who were present while we did the set task.

This was very effective because out teacher have vast amounts of knowledge on marketing, so when it came to marketing our products our team didn’t have no difficulties because we asked our teachers before hand about how we could market and once they explained it to us and set us in the right direction, the group found it easy when it came to deciding on how we could market our new brand extensions for Strictly come dancing. |

Development of team members, Despite the fact of people knowing each other in our group, we still had to help develop the presentation skills of Simana and Patricia, as they found it really difficult to remember their words and we had to help them overcome shyness and nerves.

This was very effective because despite the fact that both Patricia and Simana are very talkative, they are also very serious individuals who can complete task in an effective manner once they are motivated and as a result the overcome their nerves and shyness but most importantly they developed their presentation skills and as a result they presented their part of our groups presentation very effectively.

Recommendation

Improve communication: In terms of improving communication, the should ensure that while attempting to complete assigned tasks, all conversation must be about the task and nothing else in order to improve the concentration as well the work efficiency of the group. The team must also make that everyone in the team give suggestions while planning, this way all team members will have an involvement and at the same time they will feel comfortable suggesting ideas around the fellow team members and as a result the team will communicate more.

Team Building: In terms of team building more should be done ton motivate the team because when people are motivated to do something they are less likely to slack on the task and loose focus and at the same time they are most likely to complete the task properly and effectively.

Team Leader: was very rude when it came to settling conflicts within the team, I believe that is she was a lot more calm and relaxed, the conflicts amongst the team would have been resolved a lot more quicker, the team leader should have also been a lot more firm, team members were given too much control at times, so despite the fact that we had a leader, it was very difficult to know who was leading the group at times.

Cohesive in term of being cohesive, there should have been a proper definition of the team goals, people knew what the objectives were, which was to meet M3 ad P6 but our goals were to complete all out tasks within the set time and we almost struggled with that due to the fact that I believe that not all team members were fully aware of the goals. |

...------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- D1: Evaluate the teams overall effectiveness in meeting its objectives, making recommendations for improvements Introduction: This section of the assignment will evaluate the overall effectiveness in meeting objectives and making recommendation for improvements. Functioning as an effective team does not occur instantly; rather it requires joint effort, inspired members and active leaders. A successful team would often consist of a range of members, who when put together, would apply their skills and attributes appropriately thus leading the team to succeed in achieving their goal. The following factors below demonstrate the overall effectiveness of our team. Planning: The process of planning during the project was carried out effectively- the clear instructions received at the start enabled the team to have a good idea of the task therefore allowing members to contribute appropriately. As the team leader I had taken an organised and structured approach through dictating what steps the team would take alongside the time limit in which this should be achieved. Through planning, the team was able to systematize what needs to be done and the time frame that is available. The decision of the team’s roles was a key component of the planning process; planning out the responsibility of each member was effective since it assisted in fulfilling all aspects of the task in an organized...

...travel cost. If transaction cost were zero, demand would be D1 which intersect the SS curve at $19 and 31 units. With transaction cost of $18 per unit, the net demand facing sellers is D2, which is $18 below D1. The market clears at $19 units and sellers receive $13 for each unit. Now also assume that, an outsider tells buyers that for $8 per unit she will go to the market for them and eliminate their former $18 transaction costs. Sellers now perceive demand curve D3, $8 below D1 and $10 above D2. Sellers get $16.33 for each of the 25.67 units transacted. Both sides of the market benefit from lower transaction cost. Now the problem: Demand with zero transaction costs is Q1d = 50 - P and Supply is Qs = -7 + 2P. a) Verify all of the prices and quantities calculated in the above assumption/discussion. b) Now assume that intermediaries come from a competitive market with an equilibrium price of $8 per unit for their services, that is any buyer or seller who wants an intermediary's services must pay $8 for them What is the maximum per unit that sellers are willing to pay intermediaries if hiring them saves buyers $8 in transaction costs? c) Does your answer to Q16a change if buyers pay $8 per unit to the intermediary but sellers offer to rebate part of that expense to buyers? First equilibrium occurs at p*=$19, and q*=31 units. Second equilibrium occurs at p*=$13+$18=$31, and q*=19 units. Third equilibrium occurs at P*=$16.22+$8=$24.22, and...
