He tries to find his father, but the guy he thought was his dad was his grandpa. Bud also takes a suitcase everywhere he goes because the valuables that are in it are things his mom gave him. Bud, Not Buddy would be a different book if Bud the main character was a girl, because living with the Amoses would have been easier, Bud wouldn’t have kissed Deza Malone, and if bud was a girl he would have never met any of the boys in the orphanage.
