Management Style of William P. Dunn Jr.

Mr. William used to work for his father who owns a Wendy’s franchise in North Central, Florida before joining the Auntie Anne’s company in 2007. According to Mr. William, he’s management style is a lot like a coach. He stated that he likes to empower people to make decision. He will also try to recognize when the employees are struggling in certain area and will try his best help them. Besides that, he trusts his team to run an effective business. He also stated recognizing talent such as people who have great attitude is important in order to make the company grow.

International Organization Management

From the presentation given, Auntie Anne’s has 14 company stores worldwide. There are 3 main points of how the company stores grows.

1. The higher the number of company stores were open, the more profit they will receive.
2. Every franchise that were open is like a testing ground to them. Products were tested, equipment were tested as well, so it is constantly a growing test products in stores.
3. They wanted to be the voice for franchise system.

Issues discussed in the video presentation

Mr. William stated that this industry is a tough path. Therefore, he tries to surround himself with smarter people as often as he can. He says that try to keep the positive attitude going and take the obstacles as a challenge to improve the business as well as yourself. Besides that, in this field, he tries to give chance for individuals to challenge and think differently. They try to say yes to everything that comes and the team will figure out a way to make it happen. He aslo tries to build a good relationship with employees so when he has ideas, the employees are more incline to adapt to those ideas and become motivated by it.
