With any merger there are changes that have to be made in order to identify policy and procedure changes, and how these changes will affect the facility as well as their patients.
Mergers allow our facility to improve and our ability to provide wider-ranging and more sophisticated care for our patients. It will also allow the facility to reduce operational costs.
There are always advantages and disadvantages to any merger; one prospect of this merger is to regain stability both financially and collectively. While the use of the internet is useful with business communications, and the editing of file information via e-mail correspondence, everyone must use caution when doing so for security reasons and HIPAA rules on patient privacy. The internet can also allow for education of certain topics; such as Diabetes and Heart issues. Health Literacy can be used by social media as a means of helping people understand a topic that they may not quite understand. This can also be beneficial in small towns where there may be limited or no health care for individuals.
“Health Care providers need to recognize consumers use social media as a source of information on providers. They find forums, read reviews and compare ratings collected on doctors or health care providers.” (Parker, 2012)
With this in mind, communication with the public, and the facilities current staff, and patients need to use caution when sharing ANY personal information while on the internet. Always make sure that you are using protected sites, and be aware of people in close proximity to you that could see this information. It may seem overdramatic now, but if you are of victim of identity theft, or a HIPAA violation you may not agree. Certain programs such as telemedicine are now being utilized by…...

One was American, Winlow Frederick Taylor, and developed the scientific management school called, worried about increasing the efficiency of the industry through, initially, the rationalization of work operator. The other was a European, Henri Fayol, and developed the so-called classical theory concerned to increase the efficiency of your company through your organization and the application of general principles of science-based management. Although they were not communicated with each other and have parties of different views and even opposite, the truth is that their ideas are the basis of so-called traditional classical approach of the administration, which dominated postulates about the first four decades of this century the administrative landscape of organizations. So in a general way, the classical approach of management guidelines can be split into two quite different and somewhat opposite each other, but complementary with relative consistency: 1 .- On the one hand, the school of scientific management, developed in the United States, from the......

... 4. Conclusion To conclude, it is obvious that DanIndia Furniture Ltd does not run efficiently as a company as they have no procedures and communication internally and externally is extremely poor. The core activities within the company are not acceptable. Also, DanIndia Furniture do not show their employees enough respect and do not treat them all fairly and equally. The working practices has to be amended to ensure that part-time employees do not feel left out and to ensure that they feel valued as an employee. They must also be amended to ensure that flexi-time is run efficiently and is monitored by management. Stress must be attended to as it could lead to employees being absent from work leaving the company with staffing issues. This could also cause the employees still at work extra work load meaning more stress for them. This could turn in to a vicious circle with the company constantly being under-staffed and heavy workloads. 5. Public Administration

...Authors’ name Instructor Name Subject Date Public Administration Public administration is to implement law. In the American system, authority flows from the people to those they vote to govern them. While a legislature passes a law and an executive signs it, the law does not implement itself. That is the task the legislature delegates to the administrator, and it is this chain of authority, flowing from the people through elected institutions to the public administrator, that makes public administration distinctively public. Faithful execution of these laws is the highest calling of public administrators and the core of administrative accountability. The Nature of Knowledge in Public Administration Public administration refers to two distinguishable but intimately related activities: (1) a professional practice (profession, occupation, field of activity), and (2) an academic field which seeks to understand, extend, criticize, and improve that professional practice as well as to train individuals for that practice. The simple meaning of the term is quite direct: it refers on the one hand to the administration or management of matters which have mainly to do with the society, polity, and its subparts which are not fundamentally private, familial, commercial, or characteristic, and on the other hand to the well-organized study of such matters. In this simplest meaning, public administration has to do with supervision the realm of governmental and other...

...Since the time of Max Weber and his sociological research on bureaucracy during the Pre-World War I era, public administration has played a major role in the ever shifting relationship between the individual and the community. This altered our essential concepts of the public and private monarchy within social life during the twentieth century. In the twenty-first century, the contemporary liberal democratic impulse towards both an unfettered individualism and a strong restricted civic community or culture has developed major challenges to Weber’s ‘modern’ approach to public administration. From former U.S. President Bill Clinton’s declaration that “the era of big government is over” in 1995, to recent proclamations within international theories of a new world order cemented by a ‘global’ civil society, ‘bureaucracy’, as the foundation of the contemporary nation-state, has been challenged on a theoretical and practical level. It is from this exemplar that democratic administration theory has largely emerged. Responding to the new challenges of traditional bureaucracy and their subsequent ‘hollowing out of the State’ as an effective institution, democratic administration theory has attempted to construct a new basis of administrative rule in which both the ‘expert’ and ‘client’ becomes leveled in their discourse through democratic and even radical reform of the administrative process itself. This newfound principle of political rule is in stark contrast to Max......

...slip and falls, sprain or strains, and fire safety hazards. Walmart is using better suppliers when it comes the safety of their food products. Walmart requires that their food suppliers be certified by safety programs under the umbrella of the Global Food Safety Initiative. To help with its food safety and security risk Wal-Mart takes that extra mile ensuring that their food is harmonized and leading-edge food safety standards throughout the entire food production chain ("Food and Safety", 2012). Walmart has trained employees to handle cold and hot foods correctly. To ensure that all food products bought and sold by Wal-Mart is handled, stored, cooked, and properly packaged. Wal-Mart uses guidelines given from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration along with GFSI standards. Second, Walmart realizes that a security plan is necessary in trying to security its employees, customers, and the facility. This is why they have installed safety and security technology inside and outside their stores. Walmart stores have installed closed circuit camera systems, off-duty police officers, security monitors, and security scanners at each door entrance. Another safety and security risk that effects Walmart is slip and falls. In the retail industry workers have accessibility to parts or areas of the store that customers do not. Even the areas where customers have access need to be cautious concerning slips and falls. Slip and falls are common in retails for employees and customers.......

...bureaucracy and politics have proved to be inseparable and bureaucrats have proved to have remained political. Van Riper 1984, asserted that “the field of administration is a field of business. It is removed from the hurry and strife of politics,” Dwight Waldo states that “administration should not be driven by partisan patronage and electoral politics” This stands to mean that, as a business field, it should act business like, which involves impartiality and efficiency .This aspect can be paralleled to the ministry of education. Even though the bureaucrats are stationed in Harare, one can see that the same education received in Harare and that received in Binga is the same, regardless of the difference in ethical groups and maybe political affiliations. The ministry recently distributed books fairly around the country in every school. This shows high professionalism that is impartial, effective, efficient and responsive, stimulated by political neutrality. Weber’s ideal bureaucracy is based on the principle of rules and regulations governing an organization. These rules have to be followed to ensure efficiency, fairness and responsiveness .An example is the case alleged, which is, Minister Ignatius Chombo’s dismissal of the town councilors because of their failure to conform to the rules and regulations of public administration as they were now engaging in corruption and favoritism in allocating stands especially, for those of the same political parties as theirs......

...appliances like heating and air conditioning systems to reduce consumption during times of peak usage. If implemented nationwide, proponents believe, smart grids would lead to a 5 to 15 percent decrease in energy consumption. Electricity grids are sized to meet the maximum electricity need, so a drop in peak demand would enable utilities to operate with fewer expensive power plants, thereby lowering costs and pollution. Another advantage of smart grids is their ability to detect sources of power outages more quickly and precisely at the individual household level. With such precise information, utilities will be able to respond to service problems more rapidly and efficiently….. Q. H7: The market reaction to the announcement of a restatement is negatively related to option exercise activity of managers in periods with alleged misreporting. In the examination of the effect of managerial incentives on the adoption of aggressive accounting practices, we focus on CEO incentives relative to incentives of non-CEO executives. CEO’s 2 The ability of managers exercising options in alleged manipulation periods to pool with those that are exercising for liquidity reasons depends on how effectively the firms releases other information during the misreported years that are consistent with the misreported financial statements. 8 compensation is likely to be a central issue because aggressive accounting practices would not be adopted without the explicit or implicit consent of the CEO.3 Further, relative to other executives, CEOs hold more of their compensation in the form of performance-based compensation.
