|YOUR OPPORTUNITY |
|You will establish and maintain appropriate systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of all evidence preparation |
|tasks undertaken by the TIU. |
|YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES |
|Will include: |
|Liaise and consult with case officers and investigators throughout the State regarding requests to provide telecommunications interception material|
|for evidence, for dissemination and in response to requests for full disclosure. |
|Manage and maintain office systems and procedures, including taskings on QPRIME in relation to evidence preparation requirements. |
|Supervise, direct and coordinate subordinate administrative staff involved in evidence preparation and transcription within the TIU. |
|Coordinate demand for service and provide advice on priorities. |
|Supervise all evidentiary preparation requirements in accordance with the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979 (Cwlth) and the |
|Telecommunications Interception Act 2009 (Qld). |
|Coordinate and maintain quality assurance programs within the TIU. |
|Implement and apply problem solving approaches and quality management systems. |
|Provide advice and updates to TIU management on all facets of evidence preparation. |
|Supervise and maintain strict security of electronic information and hard copy material including the protection of investigative methodologies. |

|ORGANISATIONAL ENVIRONMENT/STRUCTURE |
|You will also manage, lead and supervise a number of A02 level staff members involved in evidence preparation and transcription duties. |

|The occupant of this position will report directly to the Warrants and Compliance Coordinator, TIU and overall to the Detective Senior Sergeants, |
|Operations Leaders, TIU. |

|The appointed applicant will be required to complete a ‘Confidentiality Agreement’ specific to the duties undertaken at the Telecommunications |
|Interception Unit. Section 10.1 of the Police Service Administration Act 1990 relating to confidentiality will apply to this position and the |
|improper disclosure of confidential or privileged information may result in disciplinary action. |
|Appointment to this position will be made pursuant to the provisions of the Public Service Act 2008. Terms and conditions of employment will be in|
|accordance with the Queensland Public Service Award – State and the current State Government Departments Certified Agreement. |
|Appointment to this position of a person not currently an officer of the Queensland Public Service will be subject to a probationary period of not |
|less than three months, unless otherwise determined. |
