I knew it was going to happen, just not as quick and painful as it did. Death. The love of my life, Augustus Waters was gone. I can’t wrap my head around the fact.

As I layed in my bed, my body trying to sleep, but my thoughts constantly jolting my eyes open. I heard the phone ring, my Mom answered it and started crying. My heart shredded and my stomach dropped. I knew exactly what happened. Mom walking into my room sobbing and shaking her head with makeup smeared eyes. The profound sensation in my stomach compelled its way up my throat and out of my mouth commuting into an aching howl. I glanced at the blurry picture of Augustus and I on my night stand, hitting it away and grasping my sheets around me. I could feel my lungs burning wanting to explode. I couldn't care less if I had died at that moment. Living a life as a cancer patient is nothing compared to how painful immortalizing heartbreak hurts. Day by day I only get worse, not having anything to do except think about the imprint Augustus left on my soul. The only person I didn’t mind talking to was Isaac, but the torture of talking about Augustus Waters breaks me down everyday. Yes, I know he’s in a better place, but he left me here to fantasize about how we could’ve had a bigger infinity than we did and shared more smiles and laughs, oh god I would kill to see his smile one last time or just to hear his voice. Do you remember that feeling when you saw the ocean for the first time? The depths of the oceans holding god knows what, but that was the beauty of it. That feeling is how I felt every time I was with Augustus. He gave me hope. I thought I could beat cancer, but it never goes away. It will always come back for you. Once it’s claimed you and
