The CCC, or Civilian Conservational Corps were vital to the revival of the Floridian economy. The purpose of the CCC was to provide jobs for many of the unemployed young men in Florida. By providing the labor to the younger men in the state, it increased the cash flow. The provision of these jobs helped stimulate the economy and get it back on its feet. This also decreased the crime rate because the less young men with ample time of their hands, the lower crime rate would be, and this was achieved after the CCC was created. The major function was providing labor to the unemployed, in the form of physical labor. The CCC was an organization which restored the environment of Florida by having thousands of workers plant trees and shrubbery.
