Since middle school students learn about the Revolutionary War, when the rebels fought against the bloody lobster backs and won victoriously for freedom from Britain and the tyrant King George. There is more to this pretty picture that is taught in schools. Christopher Hibbert writes in the perspective of the British during the eight years of battles in the colonies. He introduces his readers to the real history about the Revolutionary War, where the British weren’t as coordinated and advanced in battle.
