There are 6 tenets that make up the Dojang Hun in Chayon Ryu. They are seeking perfection of character, live the way of truth, endeavor, be faithful, respect others, and refrain from violent behavior. These six tenets are followed and respect by peers who are studying Chayon Ryu, but this isn’t the only place where theses rules apply. The six tenets of the Dojang Hun can be applied in everyone's everyday life and into their professions.
The first article of Dojang Hun, seek perfection of character, can be used in multiple aspects of one’s life. Throughout one’s life, they need to continually be learning and growing as a person. To seek perfection of character means to constantly be seeking to be the best version of yourself. I am persistently trying to better myself for not only myself but for others. No matter what you are planning to do with your life, you should always be truthful in everything you do. If you lie, people will lose trust in you and trust is a very hard thing to earn again after it has been destroyed. So, always tell the truth because it can keep you from getting into this situation and you will have better relationships in your life. Following the second tenet, is third, which is an endeavor. Everything you do should be done with an endeavor. Always do your best at everything you do. Too many times people just do something without putting their heart and soul into it. Do you best and work hard. I know I have not done my best at times, and I have had to serve the consequences because of it. Then, there is be faithful. Everyone should be faithful and think positively. If we are faithful, we are hard to be more in our beliefs, whatever they may be. Like being loyal to a certain cause or religion. The world can be a scary and mean place, but if everyone was faithful and positive, I believe, it would be a much better and happier
