We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using different social media outlets and traditional media methods. We will also be discussing the effects of HIPAA and other regulations on the use of these media for communication with the public. There are many advantages of using traditional media methods such as the local news paper to inform the public of these alleged adverse side effects of this drug. The biggest advantage of using traditional media methods is there is going to be a paper trail of our communication to the public and addressing the public’s concerns. With that form of communication the public is going to see the company making the effort to inform the public of this possible scare, and any precautions the public might need to take, as well as a solution the company might have came up with. Other advantages of using traditional media methods are reaching out to a specific audience possibly the older generation. Whether it be electronic or non electronic, has its own strengths and weaknesses. As the many strengths listed above, the greatest weakness that this form of communication has is the fact of it possibly only reaching a limited number of people in one specific audience. With the

...Running Head: Telemedicine 1 Telemedicine Nancy Hicks HCS/320 Teresa Shook Telemedicine 2 New technology in health care arises every day. One of the most important things that needs to be addressed is how well the communication works with the new technology. Communication is a vital part of health care, whether it be between patients and provider or the staff and provider. Mis-communication can cause serious injury and possible death of a patient. A type of the new technology that is starting to catch on in a lot of states is Telemedicine. Telemedicine has the ability to provide interactive health-care between patients and physicians. Education: the Good and Bad Draft

...Communication opinion paper Deanejalo white Hcs/320 December 21, 2015 Operative communication involves the rudimentary fundamentals of communication in an appropriate manner. Effective communication must have proper content, which refers to “the five basic elements of communication” and those five elements are the sender, the message, the receiver, the medium and the feedback. In effective communication all of the elements have to be in optimal condition in order to convey information in a proper order.   I ponder that effective communication integrates these expertise since you need to use the correct communication skills in order to be fruitful in the conversation. ...Communication Opinion Paper Nakia Conyers HCS/320 July 21, 2014 Patricia Bird Communication Opinion Paper No matter what cultural background we may come from we all communicate with others on a daily basis, in an attempt to convey a message, or stay connected. Communication takes on many different shapes from verbal to non-verbal communication which may include speaking (holding a conversation), or body language and eye contact. According to (Cheesebro, O'Connor, & Rios, 2010) “Communication is sometimes defined as the process of sending and receiving messages.” In effective communication the basic elements of communication include a sender/receiver, encoding, decoding, a message, a channel, and feedback.
