A promise is a promise. When a promise is made, that promise shouldn't be broken. A promise was made in the Odyssey, and Eurylochus broke that promise. In Homer’s Odyssey Eurylochus shouldn't have killed Helios’s cattle because they were craving something different, a promise was made to not kill the cattle, and a lot of people died from it. Eurylochus shouldn't have killed the cows because they didn't want fish. Eurylochus and his crew shouldn't have killed the cows just because they wanted something different. Eurylochus promised to leave the cows alone. However, when he was fishing, he decided he didn't want fish, so he killed the cows and ate them.
