How to pass Aptitude Tests

In recent times statistics show that at least one in every three fresh graduates working in a major corporation had to undergo series of aptitude tests.

With the increasing rate of unemployment, employers are constantly overwhelmed by the number of applications received for every job opening.

Hence, job aptitude tests fill the role of downsizing the population of applicants by providing a fair playing ground of elimination.

Prior to the era of the aptitude tests, an excellent degree from a reputable academic institution remained a visa to secure a good employment. However Job aptitude test have broadened the job race allowing more participants to compete for job openings.

Employers believe that aptitude test can ascertain a person's logical reasoning and problem solving skills abilities .

Success at a job aptitude tests has more to do with good test taking skills than natural intelligence.As a test taker I have come across highly qualified people with excellent resume’s that never make it past the job aptitude test.

Those who have the edge are the candidates that have good test taking skills Job Aptitude Tests usually consist of multiple choice questions and are administered under exam conditions. Such tests may be hand written or computer based and are strictly timed.

The following tips are useful for achieving better test scores:.

Familiarize yourself with the types of questions that you will face during the test day and practice them until your skills are improved. Don't waste time practicing questions that won't appear in the actual test. Popular test formats include Verbal Ability, Numeric Ability, Abstract Reasoning, Spatial Ability.

Be Time Conscious: Bring a watch and be sure to note the time limit for each section. Work as quickly as possible without being careless.if...
