Ney Pemberton, he then went on to invent a lot of syrup medicines and elixers, including a drink known as French Wine of Cola which at the time had Frenk Bordeux wine, Cocaine and
Caffine. Later taking out the wineand adding sugar, citric acid and the oil of many other fruits to the drink it quickly became a very popular drink while cocaine is no longer an ingredient caffine citric acid and fruit oil do remain even though its a very closely guarded secret. In 1885 he had to take the wine out when Fulton county banned alchol consumption he had to come up with another version of the French Wine Cola so with the help of another druggist Willis Venable, they were able to create a new formula.
