In the play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, the two main characters Romeo and Juliet fall in love and end up killing themselves. If Friar lawrence would have come up with the plan for Juliet to fake her death than either Romeo or Juliet would be dead. If juliet wasn't so stupid, she would have told someone about the plan so nothing bad would happen. Friar Laurence’s plan and Juliet’s stupidity caused the tragedy.
Even Though friar lawrence tried to help romeo and juliet his plan caused the tragedy. For example, when juliet cries to friar he give juliet the potion :take thou this veil, being in bed, and this distilling liquor drink thou off” if Friar lawrence wouldnt have gave juliet the potion she would have not been taken to the tomb. For example, instead of not taking the potion from the friar she says “give me,give me! O, tell me not of fear”. She could have told him that she didn't want it because she could have been caught and she was too scared to take it because what if she doesn't wake up. She should have told him that she could get killed forreal if she got locked i the tomb.for example , juliet should have told someone the plan that it was safe with. If juliet told the nurse the plan then she wouldn't be dead. If the nurse knew what was going on than she could have told romeo that she wasn't dead and he had to wait a little for her to wake up and he wouldn't have killed himself and that means she wouldn't have killed herself. If juliet wasn't so stupid the tragedy wouldn't have happened. All in all , friar laurence and juliet are the two main causes of the tragedy
All in all, Friar Lawrence's terrible plan and Juliet's stupidity caused the tragedy. if friar would not have made the plan to fake Juliet's death and if Juliet would have told somebody about the plan then the tragedy would not have happened. Mark Twain Quotes

...Mark Twain Quotes A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes. Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand. Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest. Be careful in your dress if you will, but keep a tidy soul. Better a broken promise than none at all. By trying we can easily endure adversity. Apples

...An essay on apples To delve deeply into apples is an exciting adventure. There are many factors which influenced the development of apples. While it has been acknowledged that it has an important part to play in the development of man, apples is featuring more and more in the ideals of the young and upwardly mobile. Often it is seen as both a help and a hinderence to those politicaly minded individuals living in the past, who just don't like that sort of thing. Hold onto your hats as we begin a journey into apples. Social Factors There is cultural and institutional interdependence between members of any community. When Sir Bernard Chivilary said 'hounds will feast on society' [1] he failed to understand that if one seriously intends to 'not judge a book by its cover', then one must read a lot of books. A child’s approach to apples provides standards by which we may judge our selves. Special care must be taken when analysing such a delicate subject. On the other hand anyone that disagrees with me is an idiot. It breaks the mould, shattering man's misunderstanding of man. Economic Factors Derived from 'oikonomikos,' which means skilled in household management, the word economics is synonymous with apples. We will begin by looking at the Maiden-Tuesday-Lending model, a lovely model. Annual Military Budget apples Indisputably there is a link. How can this be explained? In spite of the best efforts of The World Bank the annual military budget plays in...

Stupid Thing

...person, I still remember that day March 12, woah can’t imagined I can recall the date itself, it’s too sentimental for me well when my classmates making fun of us, they teased why we can’t try to have some kind of sparks lol. I started to feel a little bit weird but there’s a tiny echo that says yeah why can I at least bite that thing. As day passed by I started to feel different, I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but it’s the same feeling when I met that girl that was started to see myself in different way and change me, when I fell in the venom of this girl name Ann. I know I can’t be fall for the same mistake again. March 28, the final day of second semester of my 1st year life in college, all the fears, the awkwardness, and the kind of stupidity was released for the second time around I confessed to a girl, I thought it was the same with the first one but it was not, woah one of my memorable day, that conversation. To cut this long cliché story, when I knew Aubrey, I started to feel complete and happy again. If there is a best probably there is a worst thing. Loving this girl knowing that she can’t love you back because she has a boyfriend. Whenever this girl tell me her story, I mean their story, the way they plan their future, the way he courted her, the way she really love this boy. Worst, because I am being dumb for a second time falling for the same mistake and make it to the point that I chose her instead of my boyfriend who can love me as the way I am, who can accept...

Girl Who Cried Tiger

...Deep in the jungle lived a timid tiger. The tiger was a great chef and loved his food cooked. He made all his meals every night and enjoyed the pleasure that his cooking brought him. The tiger hated going out to eat and pretty much never left his home, only to get the ingredients for his upcoming lunches. Late one afternoon as the tiger was enjoying a meal he had just made; a loud noise erupted out of nowhere. It was a siren and what seemed to be a girl screaming “TIGER… TIGER!” The noise was so loud that it had caused the tiger to leap off his seat knocking is his lunch over onto the floor. “What the heck!” growled the tiger as he quickly picked up the remains of his lunch off of the floor. “That stupid child made me spill my tasty lunch. What was he yelling for? Maybe if I ask she’ll answer.” So the tiger began to roar and roar loudly but no reply. He finished cleaning up the mess and went to bed hungry cause he used his remaining ingredients on that meal. Meanwhile, the girl, who was the watcher over a goat farm, started to burst out laughing at his brother, mother, and father as they were running up the hillside to check if there was a tiger, but there was none. “Hehehehe” the farm girl said snickering. “I can’t believe my family fell for that. The girl’s father told her to only sound the alarm and yell tiger if there is one spotted. “Your watcher over the goat farm because you have the loudest voice in the whole village,” the father says.      The following day...

Analysis of Serebryakov in Uncle Vanya

...Brian Yan All was good and well. The house was trouble free. There were no conflicts. This was prior to the Professor’s visit. In a couple of days, huge fights occur. Shots go off in the house and suicide almost committed. It was a completely different environment. This can all be attributed to the Professor. The professor is extremely selfish and it is this selfishness that is the source of all misery within the estate. For many years, Vanya and his niece Sonya, have been looking over the estate that belonged to Vanya’s sister, Maria who is also the first wife of the Professor. Meanwhile, the Professor and his young wife, Elena are living in city off the earnings of the estate. Retired with no job, he is simply a mooching cradle robber who needs constant care by Elena or Sonya. In the play, it is clear that he is no longer the brilliant man that he was once was. Naturally, the Professor is selfish because he has become extremely dependent on others due to his old age. He requires a lot from those around him and gives nothing back. Simply he is a burden as demonstrated in his own words to Elena “You are quite right, of course. I am not an idiot; I can understand you. You are young and healthy and beautiful, and longing for life, and I am an old dotard, almost a dead man already. Don't I know it? Of course I see that it is foolish for me to live so long, but wait! I shall soon set you all free. My life cannot drag on much longer. (Chekhov)” This does not only apply to Elena...

Coming to Terms

...Mom, There are so many thoughts that swirl around in my head when it comes to our “relationship”. There are so many things that I would like to be able to say to you, but I know that we don’t have that open line of communication that it would take. I have always longed for your love and affection- it’s what every child craves from their parents. And I don’t know why I expected it more from you than from dad. I guess it’s because he never fooled me into thinking that he cared about me- I knew early on that he didn’t care. He never told me he loved me, that he gave a shit. You did though, and I believed you. A part of me feels like an idiot because I believed you. And what I REALLY struggle with is whether you do. Let me explain… you have told me that you love me (the times that we have spoken), but your actions don’t back it up. You never call me, we never hang out. Truth of the matter is, I don’t know anything about you and you don’t know anything about me. I love you because you are my mother, but your absence from my life leaves a huge whole in my life. And for some twisted reason, I still long for that feeling of being loved by my mother. I mean, who doesn’t want to be loved by their parents?! And because I don’t have it, I feel bad about myself. Still. Even after all these years. And that’s why I feel like an idiot- any smart person would have given up long ago and resigned to the fact that they are getting what they want and/or need. (Definition of insanity- doing the...

Art and Honesty

...Art and honesty have a relation when both subjects occur within expression and religion. Many people feel that art has no importance throughout people’s daily lives. Those that don't understand the concept and advantage of art complain and say that art has no significance. Not everyone understands that people remain surrounded by art. Also, art has an intelligence level for people that involve themselves in the field, such as, musical arts, theatrical arts, or just art itself. Grace Hwang Lynch in her article, “The Importance of Art in Child Development” on Pbs.org, speaks about the advantage art has on children that can improve their (the children) learning skills. Brian Kisida, Jay P. Greene, and Daniel H. Bowan in their article, “Art Makes You Smart” on Nytimes.com, mentions how the three paired with an art museum, “testing” and studying students (with consent) visiting the museum and asking about their knowledge on art. Fran Smith’s article, “Why Arts Education is Crucial, and Who’s Doing It Best” on Edutopia.org speaks about how art can apply to educational benefits for students to expand their potential. Honesty holds an important quality in life. Honesty means being truthful about a person instead of starting rumours. Being honest means admitting to lying about something, no matter how stupid, like a little boy forgetting to flush the toilet when clearly, the little boy was the last one to use the bathroom. Linda and Charlie Bloom in their article “The Cost and Benefits...

Analysis: The Dumbest Generation

...Is the under-thirty generation really the dumbest generation? This question is debated among numerous of sources such as Mark Bauerlein’s The Dumbest Generation and Nicholas Carr’s “Is Google Making Us Stupid?” The criteria for intelligence is considerably large, but sources’ arguments mostly align by the idea of common knowledge, necessary life skills, and literacy as the main criteria. To an extent, the claim of the under-thirty generation being the dumbest is true with the inadequacy in some life skills and common knowledge, but it is wrong due to the general rise in literacy and intelligence quotient among the under-thirty generation. According to the older generations, the under-thirty generation lacks to the necessary common knowledge that everyone should have according to some of the older generations. Education for the under-thirty generation has improved and grown vastly in comparison to the education the older generations had received. Despite that, the study on the general information among Americans in different age groups in 2007 had found that “56 percent of 18- to 29-year-olds possessed low knowledge levels,” (Source A). These low levels demonstrate the inadequacies in the under-thirty generation’s retainment of common knowledge. With low levels of knowledge, it allows for the the idea of them being the dumbest generation to be claimed. To further add on to the evidence of the under-thirty generation’s inadequacy in common knowledge, they were found to have no...

Disguise and How It Is Used in Comedy

...Disguise and how it is used in comedy In act one scene one Olivia seems to want to disguise herself to the point of disappearing: her pain is that great. She, like Viola, lost a brother, and she wants to devote her entire being to his memory. She tries to use her body to mourn for him ("watering" his memory with her tears) and almost seems to be punishing herself by covering her face and staying away from other men. In the second scene Viola, for unexplained reasons, wants to escape from the world, so she decides to pretend to be a lowly male servant. Interestingly, she takes on this new, very different identity partly because she identifies strongly with Olivia, who is a woman with a similar temperament to her own. In the fifth scene, the clown disguises himself as an idiot, but no one is entirely fooled. He seems to enjoy countering a seemingly ridiculous statement with one that appears profound. He is thus able to live as a fool while entertaining intelligent people like Olivia and Maria. The clown disguises his real and reasonable advice to Olivia in a speech that seems to make no sense. He effortlessly combines puns and wordplay with true wisdom, and plays the clown while also commanding respect from Olivia (he is supposed to be her lowliest servant, but he is giving her advice.) She tries to send him away, but she also calls him "sir." Olivia wishes to disguise her love for Cesario, so she tells Malvolio that Cesario left the ring with her, when she is in fact giving Cesario...

Media

...When it comes to media I am not as in tune as I probably should be when it comes to new and things like that, but I do like to watch the new if I am up early in the morning, or right before I go to bed. The things that I care about the most when watching the news is the weather, the next is how many stupid people we actually have in the world, by that I mean people who are out there ruining the lives of themselves and the lives of others, I also listen to the radio and read the new paper. When I read the newspaper I am usually only looking for pets or a new place to move. I am not sure if it would be more focused toward media or not and if not then I am guessing that it would be more representative, I am not one for being into the media to much unless it involves the internet, that is where I spend 90% of my time if I am not working. I watch a lot of YouTube and spend a lot of time using social media if I am unable to have that then I feel like my life would not be the same. I live for Facebook and snap chat. I am not sure what else I could say about media at this point except that I like to watch a lot of movies and TV in my spare time that is if I am able to get any. But I try not to spend a lot of my time in front of a TV so my children don’t grow up in front on one. I want them to know that there is more to life then TV and social...

King Lear

...the play. In most plays, books, movies, etc. the court jester, clown, or joker (except batman) have a very small part in terms of the main plot. In those same places; however, these people represent something that the main character is trying to defeat or lacks. In this play the fool signifies the thing that King Lear doesn’t have. He embodies King Leers’ ability to not see the truth. In most scenes that he appears, the fool hits Lear with a line or a little speech in which the fool tries make Lear see the light. This process does take a little while before Lear picks up on a few, very clear, hints. When reading King Lear one can’t help notice that the fools’ casual lines are actually intelligent and thoughtful, and not random stupidity. The king questions one of his knights “But where’s my fool? I have not seen him this two days.” This might be the last time that King Lear is thinking clearly. Maybe if the fool was present at the beginning of the play things could have turned out different for King Lear? Either way the story introduces the only man that has the ability to keep Leers’ sanity. The first time he steps into the spotlight: “Why? For taking one's part that's out of favour. Poem

...((Stupidly In Love)) "Your presence leaves me gasping for air Cause your beauty is beyond compare, From your big googly eyes crossing your nose to your lips From your shoulders all the way to your hips, Every part of you is beautifully made" "Every time I hear Your voice I close my eyes with a smile cause it is too sweet, And I love the feeling that I feel as I drown in the thought of you bit by bit, You are that lost piece that makes my heart complete", And I looked into his eyes As he fade me all of those lies, Just to get with me Just To take something from me, I thought I would never cry Because he told me my eyes are too beautiful to cry, he made me feel strong But all he actually did was tell me lie after lie In form of a love song, His arms were strong and tender And his words made me weak so I had to surrender, What could I do? Cause when you find someone who means a lot to you Giving all you got is easy to do, On my heart i scribbled his name But I was naive and dumb, Cause ever since I gave in He started acting distant, He said I'm too demanding My voice is too annoying, My eyes are too staring And too damn big, Days would pass without seeing his face His charming words turned to "I need some space", Now I wonder if he meant it when he said "I love you" or was it just a passing phase, So many times I was warned about him But I couldn't let go of him Cause I love him I care for him And even though it was stupid of him...

Reaction

...There’s an audacity to Lucy. Luc Besson has the balls to make the stupidest possible movie about being smart, a sort of 2001 for people whose movie-going mantra is ‘turn off your brain.’ It’s the cinematic equivalent of a The Matrix-obsessed moron blowing lines of coke and talking to you about a human potential article he skimmed in Wired while a National Geographic special blares in the background. It’s not just that Lucy is dumb; Lucy is really agitated and excited to explain to you how its dumbness is in fact profundity. But it’s just really fucking stupid. Lucy is so well made you almost don’t care. It’s so well made you also almost don’t care that it’s largely devoid of interesting action scenes. There’s a boring shoot out and an incoherent car chase, plus a couple of different scene where Scarlett Johansson’s Lucy walks down a hallway just like Neo at the end of The Matrix and, just like Neo at the end of The Matrix, does some wacky reality-altering shit. But mostly there are scenes where ScarJo is typing and scenes where she’s looking around like a bird and scenes where Morgan Freeman is giving lectures and saying such extraordinarily science stuff that you have to assume. The film’s central premise is based on that canard which says we only use about 10-15% of our brains, but I don’t mind that. Radioactive spider bites don’t turn people into superheroes either - I’m willing to suspend my disbelief that a new designer drug expands Lucy’s brain ability, especially if...

The Gaulin Wife

...Within many Bahamian islands there are countless phrases that the elders use to warn the young out of danger. When these phrases are heard for the first time, the immediate responds is to ignore; mainly because it sounds prattle. Needless to say, for those individuals who decide that the warning isn’t for them, they always become involved in situations that make them wish that were smart enough to listen to them. In the book, “An Evening in Guanima,” there are many stories where the characters refuse to listen and made grave mistakes or learnt valuable lessons. In “The Gaulin Wife,” the winsome Bachelor’s grandmother who raised him warned, “Listen boy, you guh pick ‘til you pick needle wit’out eye.” Yet he never listens treating everyone as if they were beneath him, “Wit’ dem pop eye she gat, her ma musse pity frog or goggle-eye fish.” However, initially it was obvious that the man was going to get exactly what he dissevered. His first downfall was not being able to have a child. He tried his hardest to be able to do so yet luck wasn’t on his side. As any man can say, being remembered as the guy who can’t get his own wife pregnant isn’t a good way to leave this earth. Regardless to the sorrow I feel towards him, I still believe he deserved worse. Despite him being the big disgrace of the town the years which he made girls suffer wasn’t enough. When the Mama Farida warned him, “Poor fool, yuh married B’er Gaulin,” but he wanted to be an idiot refusing to take her seriously....
