Kentwood Public Schools is large suburban school district outside of Grand Rapids. The school district houses eleven elementary schools, three middle schools, a freshman campus and a high school. According to 2014-15 enrollment numbers East Kentwood High School had 2,356 students grades 9-12 which second most in the state of Michigan. The city of Kentwood has seen a steady population growth over the last decade. In addition, there are students who attend Kentwood Public Schools who live outside the district. Kentwood Public Schools offers a variety of support services for their students. These services are offered to all students throughout their time in the district. Some of these services are Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Counseling
