Tactics is doing things right.” ~various attributions, including Peter Drucker and paraphrased from Sun Tzu I recently posted a series of slides from prominent social media thought-leaders as to why social media is not a retail marketing strategy. The point was not to diminish the potential value of social media or inbound marketing, for there are considerable benefits to be realized. Rather, my point was to assert that the use of social media and inbound marketing tactics can benefit tremendously by being used to support general marketing strategies and online content strategies. Starting your marketing efforts with well thought out strategies will help you manage limited resources, help you understand what’s driving success and failure, and accelerate success by unlocking the creativity that exists within your organization. Goals, strategies and tactics Before you can speak intelligently about the differences between strategies and tactics, you first need to start with the purpose of having strategies and tactics.  The biggest reason is to help you achieve a goal. A goal is a specific result that your business needs to achieve in order to sustain itself, usually through revenue growth or......

The company would offer photo/video services, paralegal services for attorneys, notarizing signing agents, consumer bankruptcy petition preparation, and a joint venture with bankruptcy attorney Sean Fleming to provide a complete debt elimination credit-rebuilding program. Statigic Thinking

...few things from this chapter; one strong point is that digital marketing is about the same people that marketing was about before digital. On page 24 in our book Understanding digital marketing it says; “the first thing to understand about digital consumers is that there is basically no such thing.” These consumers are doing exactly what people have been doing for thousands of years – communicating with each other. “they are talking the same language and saying the same things, they are just not necessarily sitting in the pub talking to one or five people, but doing it online to 15 or 5000.” I agree with this, the obstacle is that they are communicating in so many places that it is hard to know where to start with your digital marketing campaign. It is clear that a solid plan is needed. I can’t help to wonder besides having a solid plan how can the small startup business have the resources to jump into the digital swimming pool? You really almost need one person that is dedicated to only this part of your business, and that is after you have formulated a solid marketing plan. So what does that mean for you, your business and how you choose to do your marketing? I think it means there is no such thing as a one size fits all solution. Every brand is unique and every marketing strategy is entirely individual and based on that unique brand you have; which is why it can be so challenging to find the right strategy in the first place, because we are no longer in an era of......

...Synopsis - Marketing Strategies In The Current Business Environment – Julia Cupman, April 2009 About this synopsis This synopsis provides a brief insight into findings obtained from the Marketing Strategy Survey which was conducted in February 2009. The research will provide a foundation for my dissertation for a Masters in Marketing. I will also use my dissertation to create a white paper for B2B International. This will be called Effective Marketing Strategies For A Recession. I expect this to be available in May/June of this year. Who responded to the survey A total of 396 people generously gave their time responding to the survey which was designed to find out how marketing teams across continents are responding to the current economic environment. These respondents represented a broad spread covering all industrial sectors, many b2c sectors and most countries of the world. Three quarters work in organisations that employ more than 250 people and many are occupied in some of the largest corporates in the world. There was an acknowledgement from around 70% of respondents that they are one of a team involved in determining the appropriate marketing strategy for their organisation. How organisations are affected by the current business environment There is no doubt that the recession is affecting everyone and 4 out of 10 respondents said the effect has been very significant. ...Running head: ASSIGNMENT 2: FACTORS AFFECTING MARKETING STRATEGY Assignment 2: Factors Affecting Marketing Strategy BUS 510 – Consumer Behavior February 23, 2014 Running head: ASSIGNMENT 2: FACTORS AFFECTING MARKETING STRATEGY Factors Affecting Marketing Strategy While at a local women’s retail store, came across an interesting leather necklace that caught my attention. As I moved closer to view the item, I was sure the accessory belonged to one of the popular designers and was quite expensive. Once I reached the shelf were the item was display; I saw the designer name “Heaven’s Creations”; an unknown product designer. The necklace was quite a show stopper, extraordinary looking and not to mention affordable. The off-brand’ designer’s line is unique because the pieces are all “one of a kind”--no replicas However, I was informed that the designer does design commission jewelry. I most say that if all future accessory ornaments of the unknown designer’s are as exquisite and show stopping as this leather necklace, the designer will not be off-brand for long. Jewelry, Apparel and Accessories products fall into the category of high involvement/emotions. These are products for which the buyer is prepared to spend considerable time and effort in searching. When marketing this jewelry line, I am going mimic existing campaigns as jewelry is a billion-dollar industry employing millions of people around the world, and costume jewelry has a large piece of this pie...
