In this paper, I will identify and analyze four steps in the employment process that will help me to know who will be the best candidates to fill the three positions required to operate my beauty service business. Furthermore, I will reveal who will be responsible for conducting the hiring process of employing qualified candidates to fill the position of Barber and Hairdresser/ Cosmetologists, Manicurists and Pedicurists, and Massage Therapists. I will also determine what 10 questions will be asked during the interview process of employment and which questions will be specific to each particular job.

I would use the behavioral interview method because it is tailored around asking more specific questions that “may reveal a little about how well an applicant works under pressure or when part of a team, what motivates them, and other important issues” (Longenecker & Petty, et al., 2013, p. 539). This type of interviewing is much more helpful in predicting factual reactions to hypothetical situations, behavioral patterns, productivity, and potential for success on the job based upon past performance and responses (Longenecker & Petty, et al., 2013, p. 539).
The employment process will be the same in order to evaluate applicants and fill all three-job positions because as a business owner who is also responsible for the human resource aspect of my business, I believe every applicant has to go through every step of the hiring process regardless of the position they desire to have. Step 2 of the hiring process will be different for the interviewees depending on the position for which they apply.
