...Quantitative Methods and Analysis Unit 1 DB Leonidas Murembya July 22, 2013 My first choice is the face-to-face data collection method. The population health surveys trend to rely on five main methods of data collection, the one that I am doing is the Face-to-Face interview. Most of them in this study chose to do the face-to-face interview. The face-to-face is also known as FTF. The face-to-face interview method was done on the Population Surveys of Children’s Health and Wellbeing: Parental Views on Data Collection Content and Methods. (Waters, E., Davis, E (Nee Maher) & Mehmet-Radji, O., 2005-206). The face-to-face interview method could be done one on one or in a group setting. This study had been done on a group from Australian families with the children ranging from zero to twelve years of age. The face-to-face interview method is on their health status in which it has four subgroups for it, one is the health and wellbeing, the second one is the growth and development, third one is the mortality, the fourth one is morbidity and disability, as well as the fifth one is the safety and security. However, other professionals, such as doctors, do other studies and then there are also other kinds of face-to-face interview methods as well depending on what they are looking for in the child. There are several pros and cons for a face-to-face interview method. The cons would be that you would have a variety of communication (technology) (Editorial Board 2012). Then you......

Unit 1 Db Terminology

...The importance of knowing the terms that are associated with the different body systems are essential due to the fact that they all work together and affect each other. A patient can have an ailment that pertains to a specific system and be caused by another system. A person in the medical field must have knowledge of the causes and effects of each system and the terms to know what is causing what. The different body systems all work together and rely on each other. For example the Circulatory system is the part of the body that carries food, oxygen, and water to the body cells and removes wastes (Marshall, 2004). This system consists of the heart, blood, arteries, veins, capillaries, spleen, lymph nodes, and lymph vessels. (Marshall, 2004). All of these are an example of how they work together to provide the essential needs to survive. Another example is the Respiratory system is what gives the body air to supply oxygen to cells through the blood and eliminates carbon dioxide (Marshall, 2004). This system consists of the nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and lungs (Marshall, 2004). Again this goes to show how they work together to provide the essential need to survive. Remembering any medical terms can be difficult, but there are ways for people to memorize medical terms and it can make it a bit easier. There are many different answers to this everyone has a different way of learning and retaining information. Some may learn from writing it down while others......

Presentation Essentials

...Unit 1 Presentation Essentials DB 1 When delivering a speech or presentation it is important to use the elements in the Rhetoical Triangle which consist of three elements, the speacker, the audience, and the situation. Informative presentations are given to audiences to educate and teach about a certain topic or topics in a descriptive manner. In an informative speech you are not trying to persuade or sell you audience purely educate and inform. When presenting a persuasive speech the main objective is to convince the audience of what you are trying to sell or maybe a point of view such as the case for lawyer giving closing arguments to the jury. Different approaches need to be taken depending on the audience you are presenting to. The audience at an informative speech is more than likely there ready to learn something new and have more of an open mind. Audiences at a persuasive presentation might already have their own opinion on the topic making it harder for the presenter to gain the trust of the audience. Last but not least is the third component in the situation. The situation is the reason in which the speacker is giving the presentation. This is important because along with what is being presented is where to have it and how to go about setting up the best situation for the speaker (Lucas, 2009). Mr. Lawler begings his presentation by asking the audience what they thought of when he pulled up a picture of marijuana. This sparked the interest of the audience......

The Rhetorical Triangle

...The Rhetorical Triangle Unit 1 IP Romeo McIver AIU Online University Abstract This paper will discuss the effectiveness and the differences of the two videos I viewed; “The Heart Truth for Women” and “Create the Life You Love” by BeautiControl. I will explain whether or not they were successful or not successful in their presentation, provide examples why one video presentation was more effective. The term rhetoric is used to describe the effectiveness of language and how incorporating certain aspects into writing and speech can lead to improved clarity and persuasion. If used correctly, rhetoric should include ethos, pathos, and logos, also known as the rhetorical triangle, in order to have a well rounded argument. Although opinions on the 'real' definition of rhetoric differ, overall it means correct usage of structure, argument, and support to create an overall understanding of the point the writer or speaker is trying to convey. Both videos were very informative; Create the Life You Love speaker was very clear on the subject of flexibility and financial freedom of women creating their own destiny with opportunities that are truly limitless. The video was very successful because the speaker...

...Introduction to Operating Systems and Client/Server Environments IT140-1601A-01 Unit 1 – Discussion Board 2 January 6, 2016 Operating Systems Operating Systems (OS) are the key to managing your computer’s software, hardware, processes and memory (GCF Global, 1998-2016). Without it your computer wouldn’t be able to run various programs that need access to volatile information. As technology advances, we need various OSs that can handle the newer computers. Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X and Linux are OSs used on personal computers today and now use a GUI (graphical user interface) where everything can be managed using a click of the mouse (GCF Global, 1998-2016). Back in the old days computers used a CLI (command-line interface) where the user had to physically type in commands using the keyboard in order to pull up information. Icons and Images weren’t developed for use until later on so all you would see on the screen is text with CLI OSs. There are multiple versions of OS because every information systems and processor architecture requires various specifications (Byron, 2009). Most people are familiar with Windows which was created in the mid-1980s by Microsoft (MS). We have all had different versions including (but not limited to) Windows 98, 2000, XP, 7, 8 and Vista. There are also three editions you can choose from; Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate though you are going to pay more for certain packages (GCF Global, 1998-2016)...

Thread Prompt: Present an argument in your thread that supports EACH of these 2 statements. Separate your writings (do not mix these 2 statements as 1 statement), and label them as “Statement 1” and “Statement 2” in your post. Include in your post a Scripture verse that you could use to support each statement. Explain how the Scripture you chose supports your statements. There will be 2 parts to your thread, and you should have 2 separate verses; 1 for each statement. For this Discussion Board post, you may ask a friend, a church staff member, or someone else to help you identify some Scripture references for you to use with your original writings. Although this person can help you identify Scripture that might be applicable, you need to do your own thinking and writing about it. You are not required to ask someone for help, but that option is available to you if you want to do that. If you use someone’s help, be sure to include appropriate APA style citations and references for that person. Reply Prompt: Respond to 2 posts from other students. ...or in other words a “ruler.” 1 The Biblical Canon consists of many books that were placed together in unity in the early 4th century. The church at this time recognized the serious need and importance of Scriptural unity. 2 This concept of Scriptural unity is extremely important to every Christian believer. What characteristics should be recognized throughout these books, you might ask? First, these books must consist of prophecy. 3 These books must prove to be prophetic and remain true to what God has entailed to come. Secondly, these books must contain absolute authority. 4 Nothing can be added or taken away from the authority given within the Bible. Many today begin to pick and choose what authority in the Bible they prefer to hold true–– homosexuality is a prominent one within churches of today. Third, the Canon must be authentic and original. 5 Nothing can be added or taken away. We read in Revelation 22:18-19 that God’s logos are very important and cannot be changed or altered and it must be preserved as original. Fourth, the Scriptures must be powerful and life changing. 6 God’s Word must inspire and empower us, through the power and understanding granted by the Holy Spirit. Econ224-Unit 1 Db

...ECON224- Unit 1 DB Cheri Bolin July 19, 2011 Proponents of free market systems argue that free enterprise leads to more efficient production and better response to changing consumer preferences. Others point to the fact that markets are not perfect. Before beginning my classes, I really hadn’t thought about the economy other than the hardships it has brought my family and I over the past several years. After completing Microeconomics I had a bigger picture of the “small” part of our economic system. The inner workings of our economy and its effects on our country as a whole, somewhat fascinated me. I really do not know much about free markets or free enterprise but what I do know, I do have an opinion on. I agree yes- free markets are not perfect but with that said, I believe that is why they work so well. Now, there are some good and bad qualities of a free market and enterprise, just like everything else in this country. In my opinion, other markets and enterprises, such as protected or forced markets are incorrect. When individuals put decisions, basically our well-being, in the hands of our government and politicians, they are asking to be told what, when and how to live their lives. Now don’t get me wrong, I do believe that there are some great laws, we have in place but most of them are downright ignorant. If we had the choice as individuals whether we would prefer a free market and enterprise, I am sure that 75% of the U.S. would be all for it. The ability......

The Rhetorical Triangle

...The Rhetorical Triangle Unit 1 IP Kevin Heer American InterContinental University The Rhetorical Triangle In getting to know the Rhetorical Triangle one must understand the three parts and how they are used in presentations. The following text uses two videos as examples of presentations and how the triangle fits within each one. For some time I have been searching for a new helmet that has many features for a great price. Motorcycle Superstore (MS) offer all lines of helmets at reasonable prices with videos and reviews that describe many of them. The speaker in this video was Mr. Harry McPherson, a sales representative for Nolan Helmets. Overall he did a great job in convincing me that he had knowledge of the product by presenting it with a strait foreword and informative presentation with little stutter or mistakes. He was wearing a professional looking shirt that gave off a knowledgeable sense of the product from the start. The vocabulary used in describing the product was top notch and very commanding. The situation in this case was describing the features, manufacturer and nature of a helmet that was in a room setting that gave focus on the product with no other items to take the attention away from it. The situation in this presentation included some close-ups that caught my attention. With myself being the audience, or any prospective buyer, had no trouble interpreting the message being conveyed by the speaker. Each element fit together very well and the......
