Whale talk is about a boy named TJ who struggles with his swim team to earn letter jackets while dealing with violence and abuse. TJ also has to deal a man named Rich Marshal who is violent and abusive. The main purpose of “Whale Talk” is that violence and abuse isn’t the answer by using special diction, themes, and modern connections. In this essay I will state language, analysis, and modern connections in this book. Rich Marshal liked to use very terrible language.
