Ex-Basketball Player has five stanzas in which the speaker describes the life of Flick Webb. Through Flick’s dynamic life, the speaker shows that success and fame are not forever. Flick was a skilled basketball player in his high school and great record-setting star. However, now he has fallen from stardom and just works at a gas station. Did I Miss Anything? is consisted of alternating stanzas from two different perspectives.
