The intolerable acts are also known as the coercive acts. They were laws enacted upon the american citizens in response to the Boston Tea Party and various other actions against Britain and its ideals. The acts were mostly focused on Boston, as that was the area in which most of the rebellions and protests occurred. They included rules such as the closing of the city’s harbour until the colonists repaid Britain for the loss of profit due to the Boston Tea Party.
