The Liburnian Warship A Liburnian Warship or Liburna was a type of small galley used for raiding and patrols, particularly by the Illyrians and the Roman Navy. The ship was originally designed and used commonly as a pirate vessel. But they became adopted and put into use by the Romans. As the Romans took the original designs of the ship, and modified them slightly, enabling them to be used for more specific purposes. Making them massively popular in the Roman civilizations.
