...high-quality foods and other products daily is an enormous task for any retail consumer business to achieve, especially when you have over 590 stores spanning five states. But, that is exactly what Wawa set out to achieve when collaborating with Penske Logistics to establish its Fresh Channel approach. Wawa is one of the most recognized and successful convenience store brands in the Northeast and ranks among the largest private companies in the United States. Wawa needed a reliable logistics and supply chain partner to help plan and implement its new Fresh Channel initiative. After evaluating several vendors, none could quite provide a solution like Penske Logistics. Since the two companies had been already working together since the 1990s, Wawa expanded its relationship with Penske to include the new Fresh Channel approach. It has been a successful part of its daily operations for many years now. Penske Logistics and Wawa executives worked jointly with the Center for Supply Chain Research at The Smeal College of Business Administration at The Pennsylvania State University to help document elements of the Fresh Channel approach. This features the daily collection, staging and delivery of fresh-baked donuts, bagels, sandwich rolls, soft pretzels and refrigerated commissary items to every Wawa store. The case study was written and researched by Dr. Robert A. Novack, Dr. W. L. (Skip) Grenoble and Benjamin Ng. The continued benefits of Wawa's Fresh Channel include heightened consumer...

How could detailed knowledge of the model be valuable in Moe network support position? -I would say to Moe that he need to familiarize his self to the OSI because he may be using the OSI model all the time as a network tech specially in trouble shooting a network connection. Since our networks where build on this model he will use it even if he isn't really aware of it. I would also say to him that when troubleshooting a network problem he often go up the OSI model. 1. Many pharmaceutical stores (Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid…), food stores (Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Dominos…) and stores like Home Depot, Lowes and many others have those services available through their website or mobile applications for their customers. The main objective of this research project is to measure the benefits that such a technology could bring to Wawa stores, so that revenues can grow and production costs lowered. One objective is to identify why the technology is needed, another is to implement the technology and at last, analyze the benefits that it could bring to the company. Business Management

...COMPANIES AND THEIR MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES Evelyn Henck American Intercontinental University 05/13/12 Abstract In the following research paper, we will be discussing three companies: Harley Davidson, Wawa Food Markets and Rita’s Water Ice. We will discuss three marketing opportunities for each company that they should pursue. Company #1: Harley Davidson Marketing opportunity #1: Motorcycles for Women I would categorize this opportunity as a home run. This would be a very large project that would take a lot of risk. In 2012, Harley Davidson made 34 new motorcycles for women to ride. The opportunity is already being worked on, it just needs expanding. I believe it would have a positive impact on public relations and would greatly improve profits. As I drive anywhere, I notice that more and more women are starting to ride motorcycles. Marketing opportunity #2: Motorized Motorcycles for kids As all parents know that have children, power wheels makes motorized vehicles for children to ride. I strongly believe that Harley should introduce a kid’s motorized vehicle. I would categorize this opportunity as a single. I do not think that it would be a great expense or risk to introduce this line. I think it would be a positive impact on public relations, especially to those parents who own Harley motorcycles already. I believe that this opportunity may only be a minor improvement to the financials. Marketing opportunity #3: Sponsoring...

When Renee meets Ali at the WaWa; Renee gets up in Ali’s face and bullies her by calling her and her mom sluts because of the rumors she started. This is evident as Torey states, “Your stupid sex life makes it a problem where you stay!” Renee hollered. “I didn’t cause your legendary rep, Ali! You caused it! If people think you’re a slut, that’s because you practically begged them to! My dad told me about your mother. Well, guess what? You’re no better.” (Plum- Ucci, 207) Renee also surprisingly bullies Bo Richardson. When they were at the WaWa, Renee spots Bo and gets frightened, when Bo starts making fun of how scared she looks; she says, “I’m not scared of you, you ‘tard,” she croaked” (Plum – Ucci, 208), she also threatens Bo by telling him her father’s a cop and that he should not mess with her. This is evident as Torey states, “My dad’s a cop.” Renee breathed nervously. “Don’t fuck with me.” (Plum - Ucci, 209) When Renee finds out at the WaWa that Torey was going to break up with Leandra, she gets mad, pushes Torey, and acts...

QuikTrip (QT) is one of these companies in this industry and its first store was opened in Tulsa, OK on September 25, 1958 by Chester Cadieux ("QuikTrip Corporation", 2015). QuikTrip is always focusing on improving their product and service division to generate more business. To enhance their company I have generated an idea for a new service that will also bring a variety of new product to their stores and increase their offer and sales within the company. New Product and Service QuikTrip has many competitors in the convenience store industry and some of their main ones are Wawa, RaceTrac Circle K, and 7 Eleven. Many of these companies have similar products but also have some of their own personal products to differentiate themselves from one another. Typically the attraction to the company would be the customer service that is delivered at store level and this is how they compete with one another. QuikTrip already has created one of the faster check out speeds in the industry with their register layout idea. Currently QuikTrip offers a limited built to order food and beverage offer. ...Paombong, Bulacan In the 16th century, the Spanish conquistadores expand their pacification drive in Luzon moving from one place to another. In 1578, they reached a large tract of land consisting of two sister towns. The newly discovered pueblo was then named Malolos. However, the Spanish friars also attended to the spiritual needs of the people living west of Malolos, which is later to be known as Paombong. This relationship continued until the early 17th century when the natives of Paombong manifested their desire to be liberated from the parochial leadership of Malolos. The Spaniards then established Paombong as a pueblo in 1619, becoming the seventh town in Bulacan founded by the Augustinian Order. From 1619 to 1650, a Spanish friar ruled Paombong, just like any other Augustinian-controlled place. Not long after, civilian rulers took over, but their reigns were dictated upon and was under the mercy of the prailles. In the middle of the 17th century, Paombong grew into a modest community from what was once a cogon land inhabited by a handful of Tagalogs. Paombong was created a municipal organization on November 28, 1650 with Agustin Mananghaya[4] as its first civilian ruler. During the Spanish regime, Paombong’s coastal area, more specifically, Barangays Masukol and Binakod, played a significant role in Philippine History being known encounter sites between Spanish soldiers and Katipuneros. General Isidoro Torres[5] used to retreat with his troops to Barangay...

Bulacan

...called Minalis meaning ‘moved to" until the 18th century when an error was made by the then Capitan Mayor Diego Tolentino who inadvertently wrote the name of the town as "Minalin" instead of the original name "Minalis". However, according to some documents on file in the office of Mr. Ricardo G. Santos, the current Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator of Minalin, this present town originated as a Malayan settlement under the leadership of Kahn Bulaun, a descendant of Prince Balagtas. This settlement was called Tigip but when the Spaniards came who looted the town and raped the women, they renamed the settlement as "Mina Linda de las Mujeres" because of the many pretty women they encountered in the settlement. A Chinese merchant from Wawa (Guagua) who established a general store in this town mispronounced the name of the town as "Minah Linah Neh Lah Muchele" but the town people shortened it as Minalina.
