The article “The relationship between transformational leadership and follower’s perceptions of fairness” by Eliane Bacha and Sandra Walker is to study the relationship between transformational leadership and fairness on the distributive, procedural and interactional level. The research problem being addressed is whether the transformational leader impact the fairness of follower’s perception and reduce the gap among employees.

It’s clearly stated in Abstract of the article that previously no study that focused on the direct relationship between transformational leadership and fairness. The researcher starts by saying Leadership research has typically not focused effectiveness paid little attention to the extent to which leader fairness affected leaders ability to mobilize and motivate followers. What can make the fairness’s perception among followers are the element of distributive, procedural and interactional of leader. Trustworthiness, ethical and integrity can be effective influence towards transformational leaders. That’s why a transformational leader who possesses values and ethical standards is perceived to be fair by his employees since he will be fair with them on the remuneration level, will allow them to participate in the decision making process, will treat all his employees with the same level of respect and will give them timely and accurate information. (p.669).

The researcher composed of one set of questions and collected 100 French companies with 2000 employees. 100 responded to participate in the study. The respondents are between 20 to 55 years old. By using Multifactor Leadership Questionnaires, four items were used to measure

Sims, Jr. Sabrina Salam University of Maryland This study examined how leadership related to citizenship behavior within teams. Leadership was hypothesized to influence team organizational citizenship behavior (TOCB) either directly or indirectly through job satisfaction. Longitudinal data were collected in three waves. Leader behaviors were measured at time 1, follower job satisfaction at time 2, and TOCB at time 3. Results indicate that both empowering and transformational leadership related positively to TOCB through job satisfaction. Aversive leadership was related negatively to TOCB. Also, leadership was mediated by job satisfaction in negatively relating to team anticitizenship behavior. The implications and directions for future research are discussed. In the present article, we test the positive relationship between servant leadership and employees’ psychological health. We argue that servant leadership is positively related to employees’ health because servant leaders shape employees’ needs and create work environments that fulfill these needs. We examine the proposed relationship of servant leadership (a) competing for variance with different well-known stressors, (b) in multiple samples, (c) at the within- and between-person level, and (d) in relation to long- and short-term indicators of strain. On the basis of this multi-method approach we seek to demonstrate that our results are invariant across different methodological conditions. In Study 1 (N=443), we simultaneously tested the between-person level relationships of servant leadership and job ambiguity to emotional exhaustion and depersonalization as the core symptoms of burnout.
