I would like to be an ambassador to Japan for the Daikin America, Inc. 22nd Annual Homestay Program because I have an immense interest in the Japanese culture and I want to learn about the Japanese way of life, Japan has some of the most beautiful geographical lands in the world and I would be very honored to see such a place that is so breathtaking. I have many reasons why I would like to be an ambassador to Japan, but here are three that I am going to discuss: To share my culture while also learning about the Japanese culture, to discern how the Japanese live differently than Americans, and to change my way of thinking and understanding of life.
Japan has many varieties of subcultures which purvey to the youth making it an ideal place to visit. By visiting Japan, I hope to gain a better understanding of the world outside of the United States. I have read and researched a lot regarding the Japanese culture in books and on the internet, but I would like to receive first hand experience by …show more content…
I have always dreamed about visiting and travelling to Japan to see how different their culture is from the American culture while also experiencing the daily lives of the Japanese people.
My favorite thing about Japan is the attitude of the Japanese.The Japanese keep to themselves and are very polite. When the Japanese do something, they fully devote themselves to achieve perfection which is something I love about them. Also, hygiene is taken more seriously than in the U.S. and the Japanese are thoughtful of their health. When someone gets sick, they wear a face mask to prevent others from getting sick too. If you go to a Japanese person’s home, the family and guests take off their shoes at the entrance to prevent dirtying the floors with germs. Instead of shaking hands with people, they bow which helps the germs stop spreading from hand to
