Thesis of Personal Responsibility

My paper is about how I see personal responsibility means to me. I also explain the relationship between personal responsibility and college success in my education, with that include of a preliminary plan to practice personal responsibility in achieving my education. With a good education my future could be brighter with a higher level paying career. Personal responsibility means being accountable for things that are important in my life. Being a mother of three children, I’m accountable for ensuring my children are provided with all the necessities of life. Not only I prove food, shelter, and clothing, but I must be their nurse, teacher, counselor, and a protector. If I do not hold myself responsible in this areas, not only do I fail myself but I fail my children who depends heavily on me. Personal responsibility also means taking charge of my actions; as a college student I realized success, both in college and life, starts with personal responsibility. Personal responsibility comes to mind when decision on student loans are being made. According to the article essay, “In 2009 President Obama presented his plans to graduate five million students from community colleges by the year 2020. He believed that this goal would ensure that the United States can continue to be leaders in a global economy.” Personal responsibility is showing respect to me and peers. Also being aware of my commitments, knowing what my resources are to follow through with my commitments, and being active with my goal planning.
