The two issues that been in and out of my presents are asthma and diabetes. Many individuals come across these health issues and cannot get rid of them and some individuals can get rid of them by life style changes. These two health care issues can led to death if my treated correctly and handle properly with care. The first health care issue is asthma. Asthma is a disease that makes it hard to breathe due to airways being swollen or inflamed. When the swelling or inflame happens less air can pass through the lungs. Many people miss out on school and work due to asthma. This causes children to fall behind in school. According to Turyk (2013) “asthma affects 300 million people in the world and more than 22 million in the United States.” Asthma does not discriminate at all, but it often starts in childhood. Asthma affected the community by children cannot go outside to play at school. Individuals cannot do certain activities such as run, exercise, football and basketball. People with asthma have to pay more money for health insurance because the treatment is expensive. Asthma usually strikes poor people because of the area of living. Additionally, dampness or moisture encourages mould growth. Consequently, mould can irritate the airways of the lungs (Regional Public Health, 2012). This issue of cold and damp houses may be due to a leakage, inadequate ventilation and ageing of the house.
